  • My freshman year. After that incredible win, I will never forget dancing on the W after the game and celebrating with my Husky family. One of the best games I've ever been to.

  • Why Star Wars?

Simple.... it's good vs evil... Han Solo against Darth Vader.

Think about it- most every year the Cougs have some roboQB who starts out the season on a tear. (OK , 2009 didn't quite fit that scenario) Then the Huskies get ahold of him in the Apple Cup and the Cougs "coug it". Here 2009 did work out that way.

Here's to Sark and Holt and the gang for turning things around!

  • why star wars?

  • Apart from this game, there has only been only one other time that I heard Husky Stadium that loud. It was when we played Miami in the 2000 season. When Corey caught that pass the whole stadium exploded. Even the people who don't normal cheer that load were going nuts. GO DAWGS!!! 2008, THE RETURN!!!

  • Not as good as we hoped true, but so far our 2009 is pretty much kicking ass!

  • ya you havent played oregon yet though. i have a feeling that will bring you guys back down to earth

  • 2009? how did that go for you?

  • ummm pretty good so far. we are 8-2 and number 1 in the pac-10. so whats your point lol. you get an A for effort

  • lol, did realize you were a duck. Ducks are good this year, as much as I hate to say it, can't deny it after we played you guys haha. Nice to see someone besides USC in the Rose Bowl anyway.

  • @akummert shitty, how's 2010 looking, pretty dam stacked if you ask me. If your a cougar fan. How'd they do?

  • The was my favorite game I have attended at Husky Stadium. Everyone was going crazy in the student section after the Pickett-Williams play. The camaraderie after the game was so memorable, and the post-game party I went to was just icing on the cake.

  • GOD...I wish we were still that good...

  • The funny thing was, we weren't even that good that season, we were 6-6. Yet right now, 6-6 looks good.

  • Also, that was the last, and greatest throw, of Cody Pickett's Husky career. I believe the name of the play was "Bubble Pop," and it is still one of the most gorgeous plays I've ever seen. Rondeau's calls were priceless as well.

  • My favorite Apple Cup of all time. I was down in Beaverton, Oregon for the Nike XC Border Clash.

All the runners and their families were having dinner in this huge dining hall and this game was being shown on a big screen. Imagine what some 300 people were thinking when they see this 17-year-old kid absolutely go crazy after Frederick's 4th down conversion, Pickett to the other Williams, and Coopers INT return to seal the game.

  • Nice work. Love the Rondeau clips, and of course the dawgfather's famous quote!!
