Most disappointing: Obviously Dragon Age 2. Never have I been so disappointing in a video game. Origins was a masterpiece. Then this? Anyway.....

my Golden game of the year : Batman Arkham City, i played through, it was amazing, graphics are awesome, controls are great, and story was interesting.

and my Rotten Game game of the year : Duke Nukem Forever, i played through, i was dissapointed, i'll never play this game again.

Honestly, this was probably the best award video I've seen this year. Rather than just having one game of the year we got to hear a general scope of what people liked and didnt like that are associated with this site. Some disagree, some had the same opinion, it was a different way to do awards and I think you should continue to do it this way. My only critique would be to extend the length to 30 min and let everyone elaborate a little longer.

I'd give the golden award to either Trine 2 or Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.

I'd give the rotten award to modern warfare 3, Dane 'Chux' D and Mats Paasche's opinions about Dragon Age 2 suits modern warfare 3 so well in my opinion =P

Battlefield 3 needs a mention for that incredible Frostbite 2 engine, Uncharted 3 and Gears 3 were brilliant but cliche'd to hell.

It was simply the most improved sequel I have played this year. It is so much better and more fluid than the first. And it is the best superhero game since Spiderman 2.

For simply cutting corners. There was a lot there that they could have done but simply did not.

Rotten Mention : Battlefield 3 PS3

It's my favorite FPS this year and my favorite online game. But, that doesn't stop the sub-HD resolution from pulling me out.

Golden would be torn between Battlefield 3 and Skyrim, it's too difficult to choose between the two right now since I've poured 120+ hours into BF3 and am only coming up to 70 for Skyrim. The modding community for Skyrim is definitely weighing the award in it's favor though. Rotten award easily goes to Rage. I had extremely high expectations for this game and Carmack even began lauding PC gamers near its release. But that was all for naught as the game was a horrible mess at release.

Golden- Infamous 2. I played so much of the game its ridiculous. In a market where there are becoming less and less story driven games it is nice to see a game with compelling gameplay and a good story to boot.

Rotten- Duke Nukem. It crushed my childhood. It take a great franchise and just staright up ruined it. It had the potential to be amazing but it just turned out to be a over priced, migrane inducing, boring game.

Golden : Skryrim, amazing time waster. So much to do and you get so sucked in before you know it it's 4am.

Honerable Mention : LA Noire, Not everyone liked it, but as a fan of crime dramas I had allot of fun solving the cases. The Murders were nice a bloody too.

Rotten : Sims 3 : Pets expansion pack. Made almost no changes since the Pets EP for Sims 2. It felt like they made little effort. It also brought many bugs to my game with it.

Hi! First of all, massive congratulations on the partnership from TGS! If there is someone who really deserved it, it was you.

My golden game would have to go to The Witcher 2, for its storyline, amazing gameplay and also for the huge step the developers made since The Witcher 1. I am also a huge fan of Andrzej Sapkowski, the writer of The Witcher books and the game stays true to the lore of the world he created.

The rotten game? Duke Nukem: Forever. Do I really have to explain?

Asian frnachise Socom has hit the final nail to its coffin??? Socom 4 was developed and published by Zipper Interactive at Redmond, Washington. The game was first developed in Asia and had success but Zipper bought the right for 4th edition. Basically hair smelly lying sucka white game developers RUINED THAT GAME, NOT BY ASAIN FRANCHISE!!!

@ElderGeekDotCom Accidentally downvoted your comment :( But if I had to pick a Golden Game, I would have to say The Witcher 2. I loved the story and have replayed it a few times already. Now for a rotten game... I would have to say Dragon Age 2. My biggest problem with that game was the opposite of what I loved about The Witcher 2. The story in Dragon Age 2 had a real weird... well, I'll have to continue it in another post.

Now you're trying to get your mom's house back from your dickbag uncle. What's next? Well, now you need money, then the Qunari decide to be dicks, then the tension between the mages and templars erupt, and you're in the thick of it. None of them felt very interconnected, and that's what really disappointed me. The story in the first was so much better.

Well I will admit that that's mostly true, a lot of the hate does come from the disappointment of not living up to its predecessor but DA2 was indeed just a mess, its passable like a 7.5 or an 8 but thats definitively a bad thing considering how innovative the gaming industry has gotten, and DA2 was really generic, and simple.

@sinsduden It truly isn't. The interface is one thing, but is not truly bad. Actually, I enjoy it. The graphics also, are not from the console, they are detailed, and with mods, it just gets better. It just plays better with a PC.

@zkylon It's really a matter of opinion though zkylon, I personally like the interface. It has it's moments, but it's still functionable in my perspective.

@koalalord145 It's pretty but as were the case with Fallout 3's and Oblivion's interfaces, it's the complete opposite of functional on PC. If you find it easy to use, i'm happy you do but you're in a minority. Some things like UI design aren't that subjective (although there's a degree of that), and some things are big NO on PC. Just as you wouldn't use a cursor on a console game (hence, you don't see many RTSes on consoles), you shouldn't make heavily-shoulder button dependent interfaces on PC.
