My impression from spending between 5 to 10 minutes talking with Jackson was that he is not wrapped up in his celebrity status -- quite the opposite! He was not stand-offish at all, but it seemed that he was mildly shy. He has learned to accept the approach of complete strangers as a necessary part of his musician status, especially when he is raising funds for good causes. Behind the music is a sensitive human being who deeply cares about improving this world.
