Still happy with the smooth stepper? Thinking of buying one. I understand that since it reads ahead so far there might not be an immediate response to an e-stop signal? What size steppers do you have on this mill?
Thanks for your reply. I've looked over the "Joe's Hybrid" info. on Joe's web site and that does look like a good recommendation and more of an industrial style design that I am looking to build. If you're up for it, maybe we can continue this discussion privately, as I have a few more questions that I'd like to ask you.
I wish there were some plans when I built mine. But no, I designed it myself. I would share them but they were done in a solid modeling program called Unigraphics which I am sure most people don't have access to. I would highly recommend the "Joe's Hybrid" Plans though. They were not available yet when I built mine. Just search Google...

Oh Yeah!
No problem with the E-stop. stops just as quick. The motors are huge for a router. 589 oz. X and Y. Can't remember the z but it is a lot smaller.

I like your CNC router table design and plan on building a machine myself soon. Did you build from plans or is this your own design?
Thanks,
Tim
