The Eye toy is a cheap piece of crap. This piece of kit uses infra-red tech like the wii remote but far more sensitive. The guys who've created this have put alot of effort in to recognising depth from a flat image while managing to keep the costs cheap and easy. NO COMPARISON

actually it's better than the eye toy as it records depth, not just movement. this allows you to do more complex stuff like swing a bat accurately and it will measure the force you swing at. all eye toys games can be defeated by just swinging your arms all around the screen, the eye toy doesn't care if you are punching or whatever, as long as there is movement, zcam does care!
