  • My father, Frank Veloz, of the famous team, Veloz and Yolanda, wrote this music and named it "Tango Yolanda" My parents first danced to it on film in the Oscar winning movie, "The Pride of the Yankees" starring Gary Cooper and Teresa Wright.

My real name is Guy Veloz, youngest child of Veloz and Yolanda, was born in Los Angeles, where I currently live. I salute your great performance. My parents would have loved it!

  • Goodness! So very well done.

  • Spectacular tango. Spectacular camp. Not overplayed, but just right. Who could do this better than these two? Someone enlighten me.

  • Truly great dancing- not limited by the artificial bounds of the common view of Argentine Tango- instead, great work on several levels.

  • Absolutely great bravo

  • Everything was OK until she opens her legs up in the air and then he puts her upside down.

This is not the Circus. This is tango!

  • Obviously this is more of a cabaret number with Tango flavor. If you think this is bad you should see the dancers who are doing ballet with a straight torso over Salsa music and claiming to be Salsa dancers. Now there's something to b*tch about and that's a bastardization or even better look at the international style and how they butchered the Tango...btw that lift was done in Forever Tango the number where the woman was in silver and I didn't hear anyone b*tching about it then.

  • I think you didn't get this was NOT tango! It's a mockery on how Europe and the U.S. view it. The music is performed more like a paso doble than as a tango and does not even come close to the traditional orquesta tipica tango performance; their attire and dancing reflects more how tango is viewed afar than how it is really danced in Buenos Aires! Of course they all exert their tango skills to make this whole thing look splendid, like gringos and europeans would dream of dancing tango!

  • @Raulitango

You're all wrong. This is ballroom tango. It's completely different from Argentine.

  • @Sambucca That is NOT ballroom tango which is danced with hips in contact and staring at opposite directions and stupid sudden 180 degree change of stares every so often! I´ve seen that too but, even if it was ballroom tango, that is exactly my point, is a perception on how Europe and the U.S. perceives tango with Spanish castañetas sounding all along that one would never hear in an Argentinean tango! It is how gringos and europeans would dream of dancing tango, exactly what I said!

  • @Raulitango

Well werther it is legitimate ballroom tango (arguable due to the amount of lifting) or simply a parody on how Westerners view Argentine tango, it is still exceptional dancing. Although I prefer traditional argentine or tango escenario.

  • @Sambucca Agreed,it is exceptioal dancing and I also prefer traditional or stage argentine tango.
