The first time I heard this music was on that Brentalfloss video, so searching for it again today was quite interesting, 'cause all I knew about it was that it's "the sassy robot song from Megaman."
This song sounds inspired by The Rolling Stones. There was one song(forget the name) that has a very similar beat to this as well as bass, and i hear some parts that reminds me of "like a rainbow", basically the overall mood of the theme, especially around the end.
The MM3 soundtrack (as well as its overall design) strikes me as more metallic, dark and "mature" than any the other parts of the NES series... Was there a new music team, or were they the same people as before, trying to get a more melancholic feeling through?
Chuggin along here comes sassy robot "scu doop bop bop wee bop doo zoop dop boo dee doo" He's still goin and a ba and this time it's gonna be like Louis Armstrong vibe and he's all like "Zoo bop doo dee bop doo deep dop doo dee doo"
@outlier1985 MM3's underrated but not by much. I've seen it experience some sort of revival of appreciation as of late and the creator of Scott Pilgrim loved it as well.
After Needle Man's music (my favorite Mega Man theme of all time), this is my 2nd favorite of Mega Man 3 & this definitely tops the Wily Stage theme of MM2, as good as that one is.
Alright... so now you're not even allowed to say you liked MM2's Wily Stage music better? JUST because it's alot more popular? Talk about FF7 syndrome -_-
FF7 is not a syndrome but one of the best soundtracks of all time, which is why it is so popular. But in regards to this video, MM2 and MM3 are so close in soundtracks because they are both so amazing.
... You don't seem to get what I'm saying. I said the Wily's Stage MM2 music has FF7 syndrome because you're likely to get bashed on if you say it's one of the best, and for the record, my favourite FF soundtrack is FF8's ;D
Oh my bad, I didn't understand it fully. Yea FF8 is pretty beastly. I think FF had its prime from FF4-FF8 and Tactics. After that it just kind of fell off. I played through 9 and 10 but stopped because I lost interest.
Indeed! First FF I ever played as a matter of fact... I dunno, I'd say it started to lose it's FF charm with 10, although that was still great. Then after that... yeah T_T I MISS YOU NOBUO!!!
Yeah, if you don't say it's the best you'll get bashed by MM2 fanboys, but if you do say it's the best you'll get bashed by the so-called Megaman veterans XD So really, it's a lose-lose situation no matter what you say.
I'm a mega man 2 fanboy and i will openly admit that the Wily tunes from 3 are better than 2. I will still stand by the stage music from 2 over 3 though.
Sassy robot coming along "scup dat dat wida da zup da widito" Lewis Armstrong vibe this time " scup dat dat wida da zup da widito".... Lol I really love Brentalfloss
Its a great tune, but I think its perfect for a wily stage. This music gives you the feeling that it's starting to get serious, that you're one the way to a finale. At least thats the feeling I get from this tune.
GeminiMan, SnakeMan, TopMan, and Wily stage 3&4 are my favorite songs from this game. Wily stage 3&4 is my favorite song in the entire series, and that's including the X series.
I feel as if this track is severely underrated. Everybody talks about MM2 Dr. Wily stage 1 and 2, and even MM3 Dr. Wily stage 3, and yet nobody talks about this one. In my opinion, I think this awesome adventure track is slightly better than those two.
This track is beautiful, catchy, and feels like you got a sense of hope coming ahead of you.
Truth be told the first three Megaman man games are loaded with good tracks. A lot of good tracks are destined to be overshadowed. That being said this one is one of my favorites, it's just not as intense as Dr. Wily Stage 1 from Megaman 2.
megaman 4 DID introduce the megabuster, and thats not a bad thing but by then everybody knew what was coming for each megaman game afterwards, dont we all know what happens to series that does the same thing over and over? (like pokemon for example)
I totally agree. I think Megaman 3 in general is overlooked. The entire game had an amazing soundtrack, and has a very distinct feel in comparison to the other games in the series.
@truckie132 Couldn't agree more. I rediscovered this song a couple of years ago, and maybe I just over-listened to the other Wily songs from MM2/3, but I get a lot more joy out of this one these days.
@truckie132 I agree. I download megaman 1-3 from the PSN a month ago and beat all of them for the first time (first time playing the games, not as hard as they're hyped up to be) and I've got to say... some of the best VGM music ever, period. ESPECIALLY megaman 3. Dr. Wiley stages have amazing music. this one is like "hey, you just beat the 4 hardest levels of this game, so here's a couple of easy levels and kickass music as a reward." I play through the entire game JUST to hear this music
ahhh memories. Loved this game - I used to have my sister sit for hours, holding down that button for me LOL the one that helps you jump super high and fall down gorges, etc. =p hehe.
its too bad this got overshadowed by mm2's stage 1 music

Megaman 3 is definitely underrated. Some of the best music in the series, unique bosses, levels and enemies, many of which are never seen again.
I think it was also the first NES game I ever owned, as well.

Different chords, melodies, and rhythms have different impact on different people. There is no way to genuinely rank music...
That said, I like to lump music into the "top notch" category, and the "meh" category.
This is top notch.
So is MM2 Wily.
