i dont wanna sound disrespectful but isnt it cruel to let some of these children live especially the one with huge differences in their mental capacity and the little girl with the large cranium seems to be trapped and in pain why do we prolong it i told u it sounds strange but understand it from my view i dont want them put down but dont u think its cruel to postpone death if they are living in agaonising pain and torment

I'm just saying that giving up on these kids is the LAST thing they'll need. Using the "they can't contribute to society" excuse is just blatant bullshit, in my opinion. What have YOU contributed to society? Or me, for that matter? They are a part of us as a species. We can't just abandon them because they need care. That would just speed up the petty greed that's already being exhibited by the people around us.

Everything about CCPI shows them to be amazing human beings. We should all aspire to make such an impact.

CCPI is for a good cause... but after studying the Wikipedia and various REAL scientific sources it is clear that the film Chernobyl Heart is biased as hell, filled with demagogy and abuses the ultra-liberal "ends ever justify the means"-theory. I still think those children have to be helped, but for many people Chernobyl Heart was more of a negative advertisement of CCPI. Adi Roche went too far by bending the truth and discredited the whole organization.

Oh wait, the NRC, that the Nuclear Regulatory Committe says there was only 33 deaths from this accident..and that everything is ALL good...if you believe that, I've got some good swampland to sell you!!! I don't work for the NRC and as I said I'm not trying to degrade the importance and the causes of the Chernobyl accident. I think it was the biggest industrial disaster, but it is being inappropriately used for anti-nuclear propaganda, instead of for exampple raising awareness towards the crumbling sarcophagus or the affected sick children. But not the way Adi Roche tried to present it. (cont.)

(part2) She was completely over the top during the whole film, eg. in the beggining, filming the power plant from miles away in protective suits, saying that they're in great danger. If you look around, plenty of people went to Chernobyl, and even took pictures of themselves standing in front of the gates of Block #4. And hundreds of miles away Roche even tries to measure [high] radiation levels, but the counter only returns normal levels, when Roche says sg like "well, ANY level is dangerous"..

I've never said it isn't. It IS contaminated, the zone is unfit to live in, and the problem is here to stay. If someone still misunderstood my train of thought: I only had a problem with the movie Chernobyl Heart, especially with Adi Roche's "technique". I still support CCPI-s original cause (helping the sick children of Chernobyl).

As a CCPI volunteer, I know many of these very children, and I can attest to the improvements CCPI has made in their lives. These children are no different from other children - they are angels on earth - and for me, here to remind us of our own humanity. They need to know that someone cares - that someone cares they are alive. Without CCPI, there wouldn't be much point in living. CCPI offers the hope they need to live so they can share the love they have to give.
