i was at this concert and in the video, it was amazing... me @ 4.34 in the 'off the shoulder black piece' with the all cool 'Madonna Glove' gotta love the 80's, gotta love my1 second of fame! haha!
I remember seeing this Video when it First aired on MTV in April 1984. It was during the week after I got home from High School. As Usual I put MTV on when I got home from School. It had just started getting Warm Out and it was on in Mid week after a huge Morning Rain Storm where I live. I remember it being Very Wet Outside,Puddles everywhere, and Very Sunny at the same time. I sat in the same Reclining Chair we had until about 8 years ago. The Video looked Theatrical and done with a Huge Budget
The band Duran Duran took their name (or a variation of it) from a villain in the sci-fi cult classic BARBARELLA named Durand Durand, played by Milo O'Shea. (Incidentally, one of the clubs they played when they started was called Barbarella's.) Milo O'Shea repaid the compliment by playing an aged Durand Durand in this video. He thinks the crowd is calling out to HIM, not the band. At least, that's the explanation I heard.
The Reflex video was shot in Toronto, Ontario. The venue was the old historic Maple Leaf Gardens. The first sports arena built (stadium with a roof) in North America that seated more than 10,000 people (1st in the world in think as well). Check out my Homemade videos for Duran Duran's "Virus" & "Salt in the Rainbow" on my channel

Many 80's bands knew how to put on a show...not a show, a production. That's lost today. 80's music was about fun, and not this depressing stuff they sing today.
this is so over the top it is amazing, I love them so much. I've loved them since the 80's dancing around in my underwear as a little kid, now I dance around to them decades later, and they still bring joy.
I expected to see a ''normal'' live version of The Reflex by Duran Duran.
Not some kind of weird movie with parts of the song in it.
How can any real Duran Duran fan cal this the best version, I mean common it sucks ass that the song gets interrupted the whole time (at least, that's my opinion)
I wish someone would upload a real Arena live version cause this sounds kinda studio to me and seems more like a movie than a live concert video!
Really liking this one, Duran are back with a bang.
Check out the New video on my page. (QUESTION ft DURAN DURAN) "TAKE IT BACk" from the finest hour off the Astronaut Album. Let me know what you think???
I have this concert on cd & it's awesome but this video just plain sucks IMHO. I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here but I just can't understand how anyone who is a fan of Duran Duran, or any band for that matter, would enjoy seeing a bunch of weird useless sci-fi crap instead of the band playing their hits. This video is a prime example of a director/editor getting WAY too carried away with their "creativity" & distracting the viewer with annoying nonsense.
I remember watchin this when i was a nipper, 10 or something, my old dear had the video, it still confuses me now at 30 years old. Brilliant tho. Love wild Boys...

@MrDunkJunk this is not the normal version of the song, this has been captured from the Arena ( an absurd notion)
HeseTkuj 11 months ago
@HeseTkuj Is there a real live version from the Arena?
Because every video I saw from the Arena was with studio audio.
Or audio from a different concert pasted and synchronised with the video (I recoqnized a few from different concerts).
MrDunkJunk 11 months ago
@MrDunkJunk every music videos that i saw from this song is just that studio version

"Live" is used loosely, of course. Although I am a huge fan, Arena is one of the most ill-conceived concert videos EVER.
