  • Dam our parents were some weird fucks eh? Maybe thats why the economy is so fucked up right now... >.> meh good music though :P

  • I actually loved this movie!!!!!

  • i was at this concert and in the video, it was amazing... me @ 4.34 in the 'off the shoulder black piece' with the all cool 'Madonna Glove' gotta love the 80's, gotta love my1 second of fame! haha!

  • TA NA NA NA~!.. the best flipping introductory lyric ..ha! and LIVE.. KNOCKS YOU OFF YOUR FEET!.. DuranLive! ;)

  • This is one of the first videos i saw here in MTV mexico in 1984. Oh! those were the days!!

  • wow, i had never seen this in my life...i only saw the regular video cut

  • A good example of a good band trying too hard.

  • I remember seeing this Video when it First aired on MTV in April 1984. It was during the week after I got home from High School. As Usual I put MTV on when I got home from School. It had just started getting Warm Out and it was on in Mid week after a huge Morning Rain Storm where I live. I remember it being Very Wet Outside,Puddles everywhere, and Very Sunny at the same time. I sat in the same Reclining Chair we had until about 8 years ago. The Video looked Theatrical and done with a Huge Budget

  • The band Duran Duran took their name (or a variation of it) from a villain in the sci-fi cult classic BARBARELLA named Durand Durand, played by Milo O'Shea. (Incidentally, one of the clubs they played when they started was called Barbarella's.) Milo O'Shea repaid the compliment by playing an aged Durand Durand in this video. He thinks the crowd is calling out to HIM, not the band. At least, that's the explanation I heard.

  • I remember being 10 years old when Notrious came out and secretly having a crush on Simon. I was a little bit heart broken when Simon got married. :(

  • i have this on dvd too might i add, bloody brill too xx

  • 6:34 <3<3

  • Opps - no MSG

  • The Reflex video was shot in Toronto, Ontario. The venue was the old historic Maple Leaf Gardens. The first sports arena built (stadium with a roof) in North America that seated more than 10,000 people (1st in the world in think as well). Check out my Homemade videos for Duran Duran's "Virus" & "Salt in the Rainbow" on my channel

  • @Bawbster1 oh shit my mom lived near Toronto in the 80's. -.-

  • just cant stand this. Can stead remixers! Remove this from youtube.

  • LCD sound system , life eternal for duran duran

  • Great video!

  • The Band so Nice They named Them Twice

  • Many 80's bands knew how to put on a show...not a show, a production. That's lost today. 80's music was about fun, and not this depressing stuff they sing today.

  • those women hung up were so hot!

  • this is so over the top it is amazing, I love them so much. I've loved them since the 80's dancing around in my underwear as a little kid, now I dance around to them decades later, and they still bring joy.

  • ENGLISH BOYS, SUCHAGAS.

  • wtf is this..

  • This is Wrong. Me encanto mucho.

  • wow!!!!!

  • This sucks ass.

I expected to see a ''normal'' live version of The Reflex by Duran Duran.

Not some kind of weird movie with parts of the song in it.

How can any real Duran Duran fan cal this the best version, I mean common it sucks ass that the song gets interrupted the whole time (at least, that's my opinion)

I wish someone would upload a real Arena live version cause this sounds kinda studio to me and seems more like a movie than a live concert video!

  • @MrDunkJunk this is not the normal version of the song, this has been captured from the Arena ( an absurd notion)

  • @HeseTkuj Is there a real live version from the Arena?

Because every video I saw from the Arena was with studio audio.

Or audio from a different concert pasted and synchronised with the video (I recoqnized a few from different concerts).

  • @MrDunkJunk every music videos that i saw from this song is just that studio version

  • This isn't live. But it's a great song.

  • no wonder the film was a disaster

  • I love this song, but who made this video, its weird?

  • LOL....I actually still own the Arena VHS and Sing Blue silver...when I'm feeling Ol' School i will pop it in...

  • what the fuck is going on here

  • I have this concert on cd & it's awesome but this video just plain sucks IMHO. I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here but I just can't understand how anyone who is a fan of Duran Duran, or any band for that matter, would enjoy seeing a bunch of weird useless sci-fi crap instead of the band playing their hits. This video is a prime example of a director/editor getting WAY too carried away with their "creativity" & distracting the viewer with annoying nonsense.

  • @vodude this is from the Duran Duran concert movie arena. which the arena cd was the soundtrack.

  • wow... first time i see this...

  • Out of this world vid and scenes, etc.

  • i sang this at Karaoke; but the first time I tried it, I misjudged the key what a fiasco; succeeding times went all right though. Great song!!!

  • "Barbarella" starring Jane Fonda, awesome movie, and where Duran Duran the band got their name! :-)

  • What is the title of this Duran Duran movie when i watching right now?

  • the dumbest thing you can write on you tube is quoting the video you jst watched

    (LOL) try to be origional

  • I remember watchin this when i was a nipper, 10 or something, my old dear had the video, it still confuses me now at 30 years old. Brilliant tho. Love wild Boys...

  • John Taylor "used" to be sexy. Look at him now and think about it.

  • After all these years Duran2 is still relevant.

  • This is the guy that plays Duran Duran in Barbarella, the film from which the band got the name. After all these years they still rock it.

  • sha la la la the reflex..... sha la la la the reflex.....

sha la la la the reflex.... fle fle fle flex....

  • So Why-y don't you use it Try-y not to bruise it Buy-y time don't lose it

  • is there a better exemplar of the rock video than this? surely not

  • That weird guy was that other Duran Duran from some Sci Fi movie

  • Yo quiero el Arena DVD!!!!!!!!!!

  • John Taylor,Dios,es tan sexyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF???!!!!!

héhé, rewatching this... wonder if that's why I'm into bondage now ;;;-)

  • Oh...my......WHAT is..??? Look at 3:56 - 3:57, that is not in the background. It moves with the dancer. Tell me if I'm wrong...I may very well be.

  • hi there thank god there are peops out there that appreciate good music loved this montage well put together,u know class when u hear it,i thoroughly enjoyed it as i'm a dedicated duranie have been since 1981

  • Wow I was thinking The Reflex was the one song on Arena that wasn't messed with...but yeah wow they really screwed this up, forgot about this :)

  • "Live" is used loosely, of course. Although I am a huge fan, Arena is one of the most ill-conceived concert videos EVER.

  • lovely reflexs

love it thank you sooooo much for posting it

  • WTF! When did they release this film?

  • in 1984...hard to believe its been so long ago

  • Arena was released in 1984. :)
