just some suggestion, work on the mixing- and it needs to be properly masterd, you need to compress your work or do a better job doing so, there is way to much dynamic range. On a side note.

@MrJamescurrie The reason there is alot of dynamic range is because there is no acapella for the original so I have used the original track (with all the instruments) and carefully eq'ed out as much as I could of the instruments. If I had the vocals as loud as my instrumentation then the original instruments would be heard too and therefore defeat the object of the remix. If there was an acapella then there wouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the advice though :)

@93JEANPAUL I have never used FL studio so I can't give you an accurate opinion on that I'm afraid. I know more people use FL than Cubase but I think it could be because it is easier rather than it being better!

All DAW's have a steep learning curve whatever the choice.

@HoltBlackheath Ah I see, I totally understand you wanted a break and breaks are really good for remixed songs. But one thing I also noticed is the melody in the break was a bit off from the feel of the song, this is only my opinion but I think you should of made a melody similar to the one of the song and added your own style to it, flare it up a bit. Will keep the feel of the song and still hold the build up, just don't cut off a melody and start another, cause that kills the build up.

@FunkyMonkeyMachine I purposely wanted it different, but the root notes still follow the original track and i did flare it up, hense the pitch bends and aggresive sound. I already made a drop with the original melody later on in the track, I couldn't have the same drop twice. I understand what you're saying but i don't agree with it killing the build up. Your feedback is appreciated however, so look out for my new stuff and let me know what you think :)
