Not even TNA who's trying to do their own little TV 14 thing can out compete the WWE, although they're trying. However, if not attitude era but somehow bring back something similar TNA can go back to the indies instead of trying to be worldwide LOL.
I think wrestling has been better since Punk's promo. But it is till a far cry from the Attitude Era. If we can at least get back to the 2002-2006 era of content aka the Ruthless Aggression era, I think that can be done. WWE is getting better. But still not good enough.

It's funny how many people bitch and whine about the PG WWE. The WWE was PG in the late 80's and early 90's, but the reason why it was so great was the characters were larger than life. Now all we have is John Cena.I've watched wrestling since the late 80's and personally I don't mind how it is now. The problem is the story lines and the scripted junk wrestlers are told to follow. If Vince and co. would allow the wrestlers more freedom to speak, it would amp things up more. JMO and I stand by it

@1720Cody No, I meant it was "Garbage Television" it's an actual genre currently best encompassed by shows like Jersey Shore, True Blood, and most soap modern soaps. They focus on sex and violence. WWE has always been a circus (they're even legally classified as one). If anything they're trying to get back to the pre attitude era of Sports Entertainment, they're just caught up with the remnants of the attitude era.

@oshea900 yes he did change with the times but this was due to the death of chris benoit and the concussion theory linked with the incident so kudos to him for implementing a safer structure for wrestlers to work on but he went too far by having writers tone down everything that fans enjoyed to so they could reach out to cena/mysterio fans, who range around the age of 5 -13 and technically shouldnt be watching wrestling neway due to them hinking they can do it at home.
