I like how the show tries to point out similarities on both sides. For example, earlier in this episode or season, Kima and Cheryl have their relationship dissolving and the conversation starts "So? So?" just like here with Avon and String.

And both String and Colvin say "Get on with it motherf..." as String gets shot and Colvin gets fired.
