It helps to have:

- Pre-tested, functioning microphones and cables.

- Someone off-stage, listening to the stream and standing by with backup microphones and cables, just in case something goes wrong.

- A lo-cut/hi-pass filter to get rid of the bassy rumblings which cause speakers to explode.

- A compressor, to even out the volume.

Try that next time. Just a tip.
