i want to thank every one for the kind words. i am as proud as any son can be,to be a son of my farther muddy waters. most parents want their children to be as great as they are,or greater.. i am honored and humble to share my dads dreams.. mud morganfield from my granddad/by Candice.
@muddywatersjr This got something sentimentals for my brother and me for whe saw Mr Muddy Waters for years ago as youngsters and alle other great men and women who are now in Blues Heaven Jamming around Bless You Sons and otherones.Tears rolling from our cheeks for whe smell teh same things like in these day's as smoke, beer, whiskey women men sweat and the noises around God Bless You Herman and Fred from the Deep Netherlands Europe)
If this was just audio I wouldn't be able to tell it was not Muddy Waters. What impressed me the most was during Eddie Jr.s solo, he kept saying things in the background exactly like his dad would. The harmonica player is also really good (whoever that is).
wow..all the famous rock stars sons. like jillian lennon and other like him that grew up without there dad seem to rebell against there famous dads imagine and music.. but this.. this is cool muddy jr AND eddie tayler jr. muddy's guitar players son. recreating that wonderful music that's 50'60 yrs old now great blues... there daddy's woud be proud
Thanks for the Water's Posts. Keep 'em comming !!!...And I agree that Muddy Waters was a true gentleman. Nice to hear people say it, and good to hear about his Sons(I'm including and assuming Big Bill)...PeaceLoveBlues...
The song is called "Young Fashioned Ways" ... some people have called it "If My Baby's Gettin' Old" ... but that's wrong, it just sounds like that sometimes. Check out the Daphne Blue version too ... all real old school blues guys; they do this great too.
babeinchicago what meal ticket have you jumped on then?? x rated factor!
Have some respect, he is doing his dad proud, thats right he is not muddy waters..who ever will replace him..not you for starters, your not a even the beginning of a spot on the arse of either muddy or muddy jr so keep the negative comments to yourself.
Anything that keeps his legacy and the blues alive is great.muddy jr has my 100% support.
babeinchicago has posted all the responces on his own video, how sad is that?
Look at all the posting date of the video and the date all the comments where made, and strangely all the comment makers join on the same day that the video was posted on. sad loser
after watching muddy junior on friday night in stamford uk, i can only say what a great and charismatic performer he is. He did true justice to his fathers music.
Im sure his father would be proud of his son carrying the flame and spreading the message of the blues to a new and growing crowd.
I met him backstage after the show and found him to be a true gentleman like his father.
If I want to listen to someone who sounds like Muddy...I'll listen to Muddy. His Son is NOT original in any way, shape, or form. Just jumpin' on the MUDDY MEAL TICKET!!!
wow reminds me of the pops!
