yeah tell us all the truth old man ,why you want to see all the black people hang from a tree ,so when you say you are the commander and chief you tell the general wait to do ,who general Lee ,ya know the confederate asshole who hung blacks from trees ,thats where you got it from
Well-said. I consider myself a liberal, but Paul has many excellent points and thus far has not waffled on his opinion. He may be the only "honest" candidate...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
How many times can a fucking passifist traitor like Paul get bood, before he leaves the great Republican party and becomes a liberal appoligist like Obama?
@TruthMaster2020 how many bombs have fallen on your home you piece of shit? so cool riding your toyota chasing bitches on the safe streets of your ghetto, but probably lack the courage to go and fight there yourself, do this country a favor, go to any of these arab countries, say that you are american, shit on your pants and see how people treat you with the respect your ass pussy parents didn't you turd.
Ron Paul said during the Bombing of Iraq during Clinton's Impeachment trial was going to lead to a retaliatory attack on us later. Only took 3 years for that to happen.
Of course nobody wants to believe that America has made mistakes, that our enemies have motivations other than destroying freedom and prosperity... it complicates things when you can't think in these simplistic black-and-white terms. But if we don't acknowledge the complications we will never be able to solve the problem. Seeking a deeper understanding of the truth is in no way "irresponsible"
@TheOpinionatedPerson Well said! I wish I could write with that efficiency, but you did it for me. I could never weave words well enough to be a politician, but they have nothing over me on logic. Santorum, like many, actually believes we can continue believing we are perfectly right. If he's a Christian and believes all are equal, we are flawed just like any foreigner. Bin Laden shouldn't have attacked us, but we did cause their anger. Arabia should have asked us to leave
@adstranra However, what Ron Paul is wanting Americans to do is to tear away that first layer and to further analyze the reason as to what may have lead to their formulation of this ideology. Please understand THAT. No matter the reason as to why we were there prior to 911, the important thing is that we were nosily meddling into other state's affairs. This is the 'policing' activity that Ron Paul repeatedly refers to.
@phungiepoo Well, I am not sure at all that the world would be h
better if we had not "stuck our nose in". Have you seen the extent of the Soviet empire in Eurasia in the 1950s? Most of western foreign policy revolved around 4 things..1) prevention of soviet expansion 2) securing oil 3) preventing fundamental Islam 4) protecting Isreal. We made many mistakes, but what do you think the world would look like if we did not stick our noses in?
@phungiepoo as for policing...did you support our interaction in Bosnia? Would you have supported intervention in the Somalia? If you were living in South Korea, wouldn't you be thanking God for US intervention there? I am not saying the west should intervene at all times...but Foreign policy is difficult. And Al Qaeda attacked us for ideological reasons. It is simply naive to think this wish us peace or would be happy if we leave Saudi. We need to wake up to these people.
@adstanra Weak. If the international community thinks it right to intervene, and there are legitimate reasons given at the time of intervention then it's legal and there's no problem. However, in Iraq there was OPPOSITION from the international community, they bypassed all legal methods of starting a war, and to top it all off the reasons given were horse shit and they knew it. They took a report that said there were no WMDs and lied saying that it said the opposite.
@gopalakartik Saddam was thumbing his nose at the international community for decades resulting in a dozen resolutions against him and according to united nations genocide policy , the world should have intervened when he gassed the kurds killing thousands. If you want to wait until the Russians and Chinese approve, when you feel threatened, you are a fool. The UN was impotent in protecting the world and his people from Saddam.
@adstanra So...Iraq was a direct threat to the US now? You do know that they are diametrically opposed to Al Qaeda right? If Saddam saw Bin Laden in Iraq he would be the first to shoot him in the face. He was not a good guy, but you realise that his genocide was NOT the reason the US went in right? If they went to the international community and said "We will stop this injustice against humanity" etc then maybe its justified (still policing, but necessary if they get support). They said WMDs.
@gopalakartik Well, I do agree that we did not invade Iraq solely for humanitarian reasons, although I think these were the best reasons for it. We were providing no fly zones however to protect people Saddam was a grave threat to. I do believe that many American and British officials did think they would find WMDs. No one, could say 100 % that Saddam did not have them. All round, the situation was bad. Sanctions and no fly zones could not go on in perpetuity and were killing 30,000 kids every
@gopalakartik year according to world vision. I also think they thought they could finace this war with oil, but it is tragically ironic that most of the valuable oil contracts went to the Russians, the people who mostly supported Saddam all those years. I think Saddam was not a supporter of Al Qaeda ( although Al Zawari was in Iraq), but he was an intense supporter of terrorism and "evil" ...Very difficult situation.
@adstanra Saddam is of a totally different and opposing sect of Islam so yes he did have ties with some terrorism but of a different ilk. I don't think war itself is evil. The war with Iraq could've been framed in a better way and therefore been a good war and not just an invasion of a country for something that wasn't there. If you look at a timeline the US supported Saddam longer than they opposed him. They gave him power. In the end it was purely political to take him down and I dont like it.
@gopalakartik well, I don't blame you for being critical. They screwed up wrt WMD and frankly GWB was not brilliant, but I disagree that we supported Saddam. We did however, tend towards supporting him relative to the Ayatollah, but this is understandable. We were not his main supporters. He would have considered us his enemies for most of his reign. We did not give him power, he took it through assassination and terror, a common theme amongst fascists. His aim was a united Arab empire...
@gopalakartik i don't know what you mean by "purely political" . Criticize all you like, that is your right, but also please recognize the difference between the US and Al Qaeda, Taliban , Saddam and the Mullahs of Iran. the future of humanity literally depends upon this recognition. And the fundamental Islamists don't care an iota for the Palestinians. They find it horrific that the west has power over Islamic people. Read chapter 9 of the Quran and wake up.
@adstranra Well, just the fact that you said 'we were not in Iraq prior to 911' then admit it afterwards but provided an excuse that we were there to help just decreases your credibility a little bit. It's not 'we did not do this' but then afterwards 'we did that only because...' or 'what were not there' then afterwards 'we were there because.' It's whether we did it, or we did not. Anyways, I am quite clear what their ideologies are.
@phungiepoo I believe the context of my comment related to someones suggestion that bad things happen to us in retaliation for our actions. I will admit ,obviously, that we were engaged with the regime prior to 911 in the form of Sanctions, Gulf war 1 ect. But Saddam was not a reaction to us and Saddam had to be contained in some way.I am always curious to see how other people would have contained Saddam...a thorough talking to, Sanctions that kill kids?
Lol I love it fuck you republicans dumb asses. Ron Paul teaches you fuckers the truth but you won't accept this. I would probably be too pussy to accept the truth after we culture bombed ourselves on 9-11 we fucking went nuts up crazy for america. Without thinking. oh we fucking caused this.
"We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution."
Lol here's my theory. The overall ignorance and gullibility of Americans actually hasn't increased or decreased in the passed 2-3 decades. It's the fact that technology has made the world so interconnected that we're now just all aware of how fucking stupid and ignorant the general population of the United States is. That and your foreign policies are just straightup fucked. You step foot in whatever country you please and don't expect repercussions? Stay on your own soil and preach your views.
mitt romney, bachmann, rick perry are complete fucken idiots!!!Im an Australian and if you americans cant see how completly fkn retarded these people are then your all screwed. Vote Ron Paul, Alan Grayson. Dont vote for complete an utter retarded dipshits. I hear them talk and it is utter stupidity.
I hope americans will vote for ron paul 2012 , but people need to switch parties 12 weeks in advance of the primaries , if you do not switch in time you can not vote in primary if youre not registered republican you can not vote in primary If Ron Paul Doesnt win primary , No general election , register as a republican find out when your state have primaries find out where every vote is needed if you agree with RON PAUL it will speed up the global awakening I believe
@adstanra That's not the sole nor only reason as to why Al-Qaueda attacked America. Osama himself also said that one of the main reasons that motivated the 911 attack was because he wanted the american troops to leave Iraq. As Ron Paul beautifully put, they are not attacking America just because we are prosperous and free. That's just over-simplyfing things without really analyzing the true root of the problem.
@phungiepoo we were not in Iraq prior to 911! Al Qaeda is a military organisation that will never be satisfied with our troops out of Saudi. They are against everything our society stands for. They are disgusted with our values. This was not an attack on us because of bases in Saudi (used to expel Saddam from Kuwait). They attacked the UN embassy in Iraq killing people trying to help Iraq, partly because a senior UN official negotiated the sovereignty of East Timor which AQ felt should be muslim
@phungiepoo if Taliban and AL Qaeda ever got power in the middle east , they would move to their neighbors. You have got to understand their ideology!. These are not revolutionaries reacting to defend innocent people wanting freedom. They get their ideology from a perverse and apocalyptic interpretation of the Qu'ran. Islam has an entire history of conquest.
If people were allowed to carry there concealed carry weapons on airplanes or even just the pilot or crew 9/11 would of went a whole lot differently. So YES America got lazy and let this happen, Is it %100 our fault of coarse not HOWEVER if our second admentment wasn't infringed I believe it would have went differently. Thats my 2 cents anyway.
@Ryokai88 well, it might have been different, but do you really want crackpots taking guns on planes? Pilots with guns might not have made much difference.
WIKIPEDIA THE BRAIN FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW. SURE THEY ARE MOST LIKELY ARE RIGHT BUT THEY ALSO ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THERE COMMENTS THEY LEAVE THE WORLD TO SEE.
The Best way for a government to create a police state is to do it slowly over time in intervals while keeping the people snuggly and subdued....every few years or so pass laws like "the patriot act" and the "ndaa".......if you hit them with a police state all of a sudden it causes fear, chaos, and rebellion.......if it takes years and years by the time the people realize whats goin on it too late and they are allready subconcously programed to accept it.....as if they need it or even invite it.
Santorum says "We stand for American exceptionalism, and that is why they hate us." Actually, Dick- Anus there is right. It is that very mindset he just demonstrated that does get the rest of us in trouble. Like when the new guy throws his arm over your shoulder then yells at the basketball team "Hey! How do you stop 5 black guys from raping a chick?" These people should not be tolerated. They should be tied down with blankets and beaten with bars of soap.
It is truly sad that Ron Paul gets booed when all he is stating are the facts. America needs to open their eyes! Voting Bush into office, not once, but twice, tells me their a re plenty of fools out there. Wake the fuck up people!!!
Even if we were hypnotized into beleiving 12 or 16 men bombed the trade towers or whatever, planes, bombs, fake or real... This is no reason to bomb innocent people and thier country.
How many times has USA killed 16 people in another country with out any retaliation what so ever? If ya ever look, USA picks on small wealthy areas that can not defend themselfs from USA. USA been at war since day one, and never has been at peace since the signing of declaration of independance.
Why is it so hard for Americans to even consider that perhaps the 9/11 came about as a result of a series of causes and reactions? It seems as though they're satisfied to believe that Iraq 'started' the war without even analyzing the possible motivations behind the attack. Of course this doesn't make the 9/11 any less horrible or wrong, but refusing to even consider the root of the problem will not help the formulation of the solution.
@phungiepoo 911 was not about bases in Saudi or even Isreal. Al-Qaeda attacked the symbols of american society, including the WTC which represents capitalism. No doubt one of the targets was the White House or Capital hill, symbols of Democracy. You need to understand that these radicals want a society based upon strict Islamic codes...they hate our society. They want the Taliban! The US has defended Democracy for 70 years now..made a lot of mistakes, but please understand the difference.
@adstanra i see terrorists everyday here in california.....they are usually wearing some sort of badge that gives them a false authority over the people.
@mrtundra45 wow, you have lived a limited life...how would you have liked living in the Soviet empire, or North Korea, or Saddam's Iraq?
I live in Canada, so maybe I have a false idea about life in america....are the police in California going around beating the crap out of you for no reason? Do you not have any rights in america?
@adstanra YES! in california we have whats known internationally as a "police state" the police, sheriff, law enforcement in general (even at the federal level) abuse all authority....they arrest, terrorize, and even kill people for NO reason EVERYDAY.
@mrtundra45 the police kill people everyday" for NO reason"? wow....you do have a problem. you must be terrified to walk out the door everyday. I'll be sure to avoid California next holiday.
lol sorry I find it funny how people want to pass a law to "look out for my best intrest". ya know marijuana illegal. cool, since you want to look out for MY best interest, can you also pay my medical bills...you want to take me under your wing right? INVEST in me. because you say that its not good for me...so since you want to INFORCE YOUR belief onto me, and I am not able to have a say in whats good for me...I need more money...please look after your investment and send me money.
America you are not listening to Ron Paul America you are acting like children, America You will end up part of Israel if you do not sit up and listen.
@1955moko GET the fuck outta here. We would never become a part of ANY other country. Regardless of what our government does. If anything, we'll get attacked because of the actions of our government. If that's the case, we don't give a shit what the reason was that we're being attacked, we're gonna fuck up anyone who tries. That being said, stop grouping all Americans with right wing conservatives. We multiple political parties with different views on how our government should be.
@1955moko Unfortunately, the ones that are in charge are douchebags. Just saying...don't judge all of us based on our governments actions. Generally, we don't agree with our government. The problem we have here is that everyone is so wrapped up in their own lives, they don't care to have their voice heard.
americans never want to admit when they are wrong, that is why they are booing paul. why on earth would anyone want to attack USA because of their freedom? how the hell can anyone believe that that is the reason why USA was attacked. wtf ppl, use ur brains. USA is not well-liked because they have invaded and interfered with other countries and caused more problems. US government has been a huge terrorist organization - u can keep ur heads in the sand or try to save ur country, ur choice. paul'12
i hope that ron paul doesn´t get elected, because i want to see americans keep getting punished by their government! just like a dog who never learns who is an enemy and who is a friend they are dead meat
@syh11s029 that's a horrible mentality. a better leader will yield a better government, and with ron paul, more peaceful relations with other countries.
@bqureshi21 that is if u want peace, what makes u think i want peace, you guys are like cancer and u have fucked up our entire planet, with your fucking religion, warmongering and fake democracy u have ruined the earth, i hope you guys get another run with bush
@syh11s029 you say that as if everyone in USA wants what happened. government is the one at fault, and ron paul supporters are the ones who realize that. ron paul will stop the warmongering and will return to true constitutionalism. and as far as religion, that doesn't have anything to do with it, this is completely secular.. and btw, i'm not even from USA, but we have to be aware that you can't fight fire with more fire, or you just become the same as the ppl you hate.
@bqureshi21 apparently the majority wants it. they want to keep the world in wars, stealing others resources, overthrowing governments and keep spending money that they don´t have! for people that stupid it´s only one way to learn and that´s the hard way, i can´t hardly wait until the fema camps kick in and blackwater mercenaries keep americans silent
@syh11s029 Excuse me?Who the fuck are you?You want americans to keep getting punished?innocent americans?.dude ill fuck you up you dead beat fuck how can any humane person say that?you have problems.I would love to get my hands on you.Fucker.
@MrSimpleplain ha ha i´ll hold u down and fuck u til u bleed faggot! i hope mitt romney wins so you can suck on your white red and blue cock.. or even better i hope obama wins and goes to war with the sand niggers in iran and that u guys whipe each other out, muslims, christians, jews americans and the middle east are all cancer to our beautiful planet, u faggots have ruined it for everyone, when china decides to end you i will join them.
people don't base your beliefs on ron paul because of a couple of trolls on the internet;
listen to what the man is saying, he is america's last hope
personally i think mormonism is stupid - but mormons don't; in america - you be be whoever you want to be and no one will stop you it it a free nation and the only person not supporting the banking elite is ron paul
I feel so bad for this RON! I feel the exact same way he does with things. And when he speaks up and tells it like it is, the other guys on that stage get mad. What is up with that?!?!?! And for some reason he might not ever be president. What a sad world we live in
Noone wants to admit they are wrong. Ron Paul is speaking the truth. Look what our government does to us. what do you think they do to people of other countries. Take the blinders off people and quit listening to all these political analist with thier bias opinions
whats sad is, ron paul isnt going to win. unfortunitly. i feel us, the people, have this way of thinking were it paralizes are ability to change government. government has banged it in our head that we basiclly cant change a damn thing, so were like "oh well". but we have the internet now! if we can figure out a way to organize and make or even force our voice's to be heard. we can only do it, if we BELEIVE!
how can americans not vote for ron paul. im english. if we had such a honest man over here i would for him. i cant believe they are booing him. americans are so fucking fickle.
jeez.... we're at a point where the facts is a "lie" and the "truth" is a misconception.. that's very bad... very very bad.. when we reach to this point... especially when our leaders and the media is promoting it.. its almost impossible for the sheeple to wake up... we're heading for disaster.. that's just it.
Everyone must do whatever it takes, talk to friends, go to your parents house, call your brother, visit your neighbor, in other words talk to people who TRUST you and get them to vote for Ron Paul. Convert at least 5 people between now and the election. I have. And so should YOU. Now stop talking about it on the internet, and fucking get out there in the REAL world and DO something to make that small difference that might make up the difference in the end.
A grown adult should know when they are touting a criminal governments agenda. Set an example and stand up to our government not a buncha self-important potheads who believe they can change things by posting on the internet. Join a militia or a group of political activists or even a hare-krishna crowd for Pete's sake. Quit trolling and START THE REVOLUTION!
people do fail to recognize that we had bases on there land before 9/11, how would you feel if they guy next door built his new shed in your yard? ron paul was in politics a long time ago when this country was great and so he has no problem telling the unwanted truth, and he makes so much sense, and knows how shit is suppose to work but people are either to blind, ignorant, and straight up dumb to see this. if ron paul is president this country has potential to be great again.
@cindybin2001 Well I would agree with you on a point if you made a logical one. I asked if you were an idiot because you don't seem to be speaking for yourself. I think on my own I make my own choices. In my life I have never once seen weed cause a person harm or hinder a person from doing things. I agree some drugs are bad. I also understand that the only reason it is illegal was because the paper industry wanted a monopoly of the industry and didn't want hemp taking their money.
@kidmj14 AAARGGGGHHH! I never said pot causes you harm, etc. All I say is that we shouldn't use drugs to get high and stoned and buzzed and relax and unwind and enjoy life! DON'T ANY OF YOU PEOPLE HAVE MORALS OR COMMON SENSE?? Grow up already! I just can't BELIEVE the attitudes of Internet people!!!
@cindybin2001 We do have morals. "Us people" ? The majority of the world disagrees with your statements. All you give anyone here is your opinion. If you think that it is morally unacceptable to smoke weed or do whatever good for you. You should listen to what Ron Paul says instead of just hearing him say he's for giving everyone their freedoms and you don't find it morally acceptable. Please think of this today or whenever. If you were born in another country would your views be the same?
@kidmj14 yes my views would be the same! I'm a grown adult and WELL PAST the age where I'd want to use a drug, legal or not. We all need to take a stand and set an example and help all these pot smokers I see online! It is just TERRIBLE! Where do they all come from?? What kind of grown adult would want to smoke POT?? Or drink alcohol??
@cindybin2001 You haven't made a valid point ever. Throughout your whole argument on why pot or whatever should or shouldn't be illegal. You believe it's morally wrong. Most everyone else does not. I do not think it's morally wrong. Just because you think it's "wrong" or morally unjust doesn't make it so. Some people think it's morally right to murder millions of people. I just find no reason to say that people that smoke pot are morally wrong. Please remember that it is your opinion not a fact.
@kidmj14 It's not just an issue of morals, but COMMON SENSE! A grown adult should be WELL PAST the age where they want to use a drug to relax and unwind, enjoy life, get high and buzzed and stoned, etc. What a thing to do! People need to set an example and not use drugs, legal or not! Man you people drive me nuts. Any young person reading these YouTube boards would think that when you grow up, it's okay to smoke POT! That is TERRIBLE!!!
@cindybin2001 your aware that aspirin is drug, right. cold medication is a drug. antibioltics are a drug. Id bet my life you've used most, if not all of these. Adults need to relax much more, they have much more stress in their lives.
@bigconan Oh I can't believe it! yET ANOTHER INTERNET PERSON TRYING TO COMPARE ASPIRIN AND ANTIBIOTICS, ETC. TO SMOKING POT! what is WRONG with you people??? These are drugs people need for a physical ailment, and nobody wants to have a physical problem where they need to tak an aspirin or antibiotics, etc. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN TRY TO COMPARE THESE THINGS?? OH YOU JUST DRIVE ME CRAZY! I have spoken up against marijuana for ten years online and you people ALWAYS use these excuses!!! And we
@cindybin2001 Answer me this ol wise one, why should alcohol be legal and not pot? We outlawed alcohol during prohabition, many years ago, that didnt' work. Did people stop drinking, of course not. People will always do what they want. thats just how things are. They made it legal and made the appropriate laws to govern it. Why can't we do the same for pot. Does keeping it illegal stop people from using it? No.
@bigconan SHOULD NOT USE DRUGS TO GET AND STONED AND BUZZED AND RELAX AND UNWIND! We are supposed to use hobbies and interests and our own minds! I'm a grown adult and would NEVER smoke pot or drink wine, etc. What a thing to do!! Oh you people need to grow up. I mean it. You set a terrible example and go against everything that most parents try to teach their kids about drugs and life. What parent would EVER raise their kids to think it's okay to smoke POT when they grow up???
@bigconan And of COURSE I have used aspirin and antibiotics! But not to get high and stoned and relax and unwind! And these are LEGAL THINGS! They are used for a physical ailment that nobody WANTS to have! Can't you see the difference? Oh you people drive me batty! Why would you even THINK of comparing smoking pot with aspirin or antibiotics??? That is just RIDICULOUS!!!
@cindybin2001@cindybin2001 Please have an open mind for a moment. If you were born in a different country would your religious/moral values be the same? Being that only 30% of the world believes in God or what not. The USA is about 80% christian. I honestly think your values and views on life would be soooooooo much different than they are now. If you really don't believe me just think about it for one moment. Think if you were born in England would you believe? They are 80% atheist.
@fatwalrus23x actually i live in england and literally everyone i know is atheist and i remember in school we used to make fun of the few people who were religious. so no he is not stupid :D
@P00nTeAr Everyone you know is atheist? That is TERRIBLE! Well I'm a convert to the LDS church and I know that there are alot of Mormons in England. So there ARE people there who believe in God and Jesus Christ.
@cindybin2001 hahaha you are a ridiculous person. i LIVE in england so i hold a greater perspective of what it is like there. ALSO using your church as a source makes you look like a fool because historically churches lie all the time! hahaha
@P00nTeAr OH I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! YOU PUT DOWN MY RELIGION! THAT IS TERRIBLE! OH YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME FURIOUS! I JUST WANT TO CRY! I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF MY CHURCH FOR OVER 30 YEARS, I WAS A CONVERT AND MY CHURCH IS IMPORTANT TO ME! HOW RUDE AND OFFENSIVE OF YOU TO PUT DOWN A PERSON'S RELIGION! OH YOU MAKE ME SICK!!!
@cindybin2001 Im not going to try to have in intellectual arguement with a mormon, i dont want to fall down to that level. im glad your offended because you're a stupid person. that is all i have to say.... peace. :D
@P00nTeAr Oh brother. "Peace". Yeah right. Like you are so peaceful. Ha. One of the rudest people I've ever met online. You know what I said was right and truthful and sincere, but you don't want to admit it, because that would make you look like a fool. So you have to put me down to try and save face. Man oh man, Internet people drive me nuts.
@cindybin2001 no actually what you said was not 'right' it was an opinion. an opinion twisted and influnced by your religion and weak mind. so there is no point in argueing with someone as stubborn as you especially when your opinion is opposed by the vast majority of the human race. remember my statement that churches lie all the time..... your opinion is based off of what YOUR church told YOU, from what you have said. please absourb what i have said and not respond without any facts.
@P00nTeAr I MEAN IT, I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR RON PAUL IF YOU PEOPLE ARE REPRESENATIVE OF HIS SUPPORTERS! YOU ARE TERRIBLE! HERE I AM A NICE, MIDDLE-AGED WOMAN, A GRANDMOTHER, AND A CONVERT TO THE LDS CHURCH, I'VE BEEN A MEMBER FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND MY FAITH IS IMPORTANT TO ME AND YOU JUST PUT ME DOWN AND TELL ME I'M A "RIDICULOUS PERSON"! YOU SAY THAT BECAUSE I'M A MORMON AND BECAUSE I SPEAK UP AGAINST RECREATIONAL DRUG USE?? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?? OH THIS MAKES ME FURIOUS! AND DO NOT THINK
@P00nTeAr I AM AGAINST DRUGS JUST BECAUSE I'M A MORMON BECAUSE I WAS NOT EVEN RELIGIOUS IN SCHOOL AND I SURE NEVER SMOKED POT! AND MY HUSBAND ISN'T RELIGIOUS AND HE DOESN'T SMOKE POT OR DRINK BOOZE, EITHER! IT'S JUST A MATTER OF COMMON SENSE! ANYWAY, YOU ARE EXTREMEMLY MEAN AND RUDE FOR PUTTING ME DOWN, JUST BECAUSE I SAY WE SHOULDN'T USE DRUGS, AND YOU PURPOSELY INSULT MY FAITH WHICH IS IMPORTANT TO ME!!! PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME SICK!
I am a person of faith myself but disagree with your stance on the issue. I ask you where in the Constitution does it give the Fed.Government the power to control drug usage? You are failing to see the big picture here i do fear. Its not that i aprove of drug use.I personally oppose it. But the fed. has no place to dictate that. The indivigual states do as per Amendment 10 to the Constitution. Dr. Paul is the only canidate that will put the fed in its place God willing.
@P00nTeAr moreover the USA is seen by the rest of the world as still an extremely religious country so im not sure where your facts are coming from mate
@kidmj14 It is comments like yours that only PROVE to me that I could never vote for Ron Paul. Not if people like you support him. How can you possibly put me down for saying we shouldn't use drugs to get high and stoned and buzzed?? Oh this makes me furious! You people set a TERRIBLE EXAMPLE!!!
@cindybin2001 you no what though...... here in the REAL WORLD most of the WORLDS POPULATION does not have to luxury to have hobbies or pass the time without drinking or smoking. if every SINGLE PERSON on this planet lived like YOU do (which could never happen) then maybe your argument would make a little over 3% sense. Great! you dont need pot or alchohol to enjoy YOUR LUXURY life. good for you. really. but open your narrow minded head and think about other people for a second.
@P00nTeAr Luxury to pass the time without drinking and smoking?? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?? OH brother. And who said I have a luxury life?? This is just COMMON SENSE! A growna dult should be well past the age where they'd want to use a drug to relax and unwind, "pass the time", etc. I can't believe the attitude of Internet people! Here I am trying to help people understand why we shouldn't use drugs to relax, enjoy life, get high, stoned, buzzed, etc. and you PUT ME DOWN??? What
@cindybin2001 you have a luxury life if you have access to food, water, medicine, and live in a stable/safe society. being as you have a computer and are likely to live in america- you HAVE a luxury life. please recognise the world around you past your own small and insignificant life :D
@P00nTeAr Okay, then how are these people getting all the money they spend on drugs and booze??? Anyway, just because you have access to good things in life doesn't make it right to use drugs to get high and stoned and buzzed! Here I am just trying to help people and make a difference in the world, and you put me down?? And what impression is any young person going to get by reading this board? Then when you grow up, it's okay to smoke POT? And if we get busted, it won't matter; just tell the
@cindybin2001 I'm a Mormon, too. But I'm also a Ron Paul supporter. It's definitely agreeable that you don't support drugs; they're immoral. But Ron Paul's stance isn't to legalize drugs. It's to bring the decision down to the state level. It's unconstitutional for the federal government to be involved in that. Even if the states were to legalize them, I don't think it would make much difference. People don't do drugs because it's immoral, not because it's illegal.
@P00nTeAr just that people in other countries who don't have "luxury lives" like we do use drugs to get high, so that makes it okay." HA! Where I live, you'd be thrown into jail for saying something like that! For that reason alone, parents have to tell their kids to avoid drugs! It is ILLEGAL to smoke pot! But even if it were legal it doesn't make it right! What parent would ever raise their kids to think it's okay to smoke POT when they grow up?? What a thing to do!!!
@cindybin2001 yes it makes it okay you fucking idiot. stop reciting your same points that i have seen you type to every single person including me. you present no facts or actual understanding on the subject. you just say the words "COMMON SENSE", "I CANT BELIEVE IT" and "WHAT A THING TO DO" all in caps too. i cant handle arguing with you, you just re-post the same shit regardless of what i have just said. do everyone on this website a favour and fuck off to your blind and pathetic life. cheers.
@P00nTeAr Now see? You're proving my point. You use profanity and get all mad just because I speak up against recreational use of marijuana. It is just unbelievable. This is why I'm so against marijuana, because of the people who use and support it. And I'd never vote for Ron Paul because of all the pot smokers who are for him just because he wants to legalize drugs.
@cindybin2001 and you are proving my point that im wasting my time talking to you because to consistantly ignore my points and facts and fail to prove me wrong. part of arguing is addressing your oppositions arguement and ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY SAID SO YOU CAN COMPOSE YOUR COUNTER ARGUEMENT. you have completely FAILED TO DO THIS SIMPLE THING. you also brush off when a consistantly prove you incorrect and retreat back to your same weak opinionated arguement. stop being dumb please.
@P00nTeAr impression is any young person going to get by reading this board?? That when you grow up, it's good to smoke POT to "pass the time"?? And that we should put down anybody who dares speak up against this, who tries to HELP people and take a stand against drug use?? And pot is ILLEGAL!! You can get into serious trouble with the law if you get busted. At least where I live! No judge will care that other people pass the time through using drugs. You are just a number in the court room and
@P00nTeAr and will be treated like dirt. I didn't make the law, I'm just stating the fact. For that reason alone, parents have to teach their kids to avoid drugs, so they won't get in trouble with the law! But even if pot were legal it doesn't make it right! How can you put me down for pointing out that we shouldn't use drugs to get high, stoned, buzzed, enjoy life, "pass the time", etc. I can't believe this! And if these people in other countries have so much money to spend on booze and drugs,
@P00nTeAr then why can't they use that same money on something CONSTRUCTIVE?? Oh this makes me so mad! Why on EARTH would you put me down just because I say we shouldn't smoke pot or drink alcohol??? What is WRONG with Internet people?? Are all Ron Paul supporters like this or what?? I mean it, from what I've seen on the Internet, I could never vote for him just because of the people who support him! It's scary!!
@cindybin2001 im going to ignore what you just said because right now you are holding the stance of a classic stubborn religious person who is weak minded because you allow other peoples opinions to rub off onto you a absolute truth. believe me you unfortunately fall into this tradgic category of brainwashed people..... im sorry. your opinion clashed with the flow of HUMAN existance, it sounds extreme to say i know, but people on this planet smoke and drink and have been for thousands of years.
@P00nTeAr Oh that's right, call me a "stubborn religious person who is weak minded", blah blah blah. Yeah, I'm brainwashed, because I believe in the Mormon church. Yep, that's me, brainwashed. Oh you people make me sick!!! And just because people have used booze and pot, etc. for thousands of years doesn't make it right and doesn't mean YOU have to! I already know these things have been around for centuries! But here I am just trying to help people understand why we shouldn't use them to get
@P00nTeAr and relax and unwind and tipsy, etc. A grown adult should know better and take a stand and set an example. HOW CAN YOU PUT ME DOWN FOR THAT?? What impression is any young person going to get by reading your comments? That we should put down a woman for her religious faith, and put her down for taking a stand against using drugs to get high and unwind?? Oh this makes me FURIOUS!
@P00nTeAr And as I've said a million times, I know there are many things written about Mormons that are twisted, distorted, and just plain false. I read all this stuff over 30 years ago when I was first investigating the church. I was not Mormon and nobody in my family was, but I wanted to find out more about it. I didn't know where to turn, was not ready to talk to missionaries because I never thought I'd actually join the church. All I could find back then was anti-Mormon stuff. I read it but
@P00nTeAr knew it wasn't right. I searched and searched and finally found correct information about the church. Then I went to church services, and talked to missionaries and asked more questions, and studied, pondered and prayed. I've been a member for over 30 years and can't imagine being in any other church. And as I've said, if I believed half of what I've seen and heard about Morons online, I'd think they were nuts, too. But please take the time to learn the truth!
@cindybin2001 listen carefully........ you ARE in fact a mormon. a MORMON. and you are telling me about learning the "truth". what are you thinking? hahahahaha
@P00nTeAr I'm a Mormon and still a Ron Paul supporter. To me, he seems the obvious choice to members of our faith. One of the things we believe is that God ordained the constitution to be the law of this land, and Dr. Paul is the only one who supports this. But to put down a person in a argument because of his/her religion is a logical fallacy. Religion is actually very important in keeping a moral society. That is, everything except Atheism.
@KittlerWilkensen it doenst matter if i agree with you or not. i detect logic and reason in your tone therefore i respect what you have to say (even if i disagree). i wont argue with you because despite our difference in opinion i can tell you have an open mind -and that is all that matters. cindybin2001 on the other hand displays a tone of a classic narrow-minded and stubborn person. i poked fun or her religion merely because she brought it up as her only source and basis for her arguement.
@KittlerWilkensen may i ask why atheism is the only thing that cant keep a moral society?Am i interpreting that wrong? I do not believe in a God, (notice cap G)yet i wish not to harm anyone nor do i wish for others to do so.I read,I write,& I play music,I eat healthy and I wish to make the world a better place.Am I not allowed to do thatmyself? Is spiritual guidance absolutely necessary in society?
what difference technically does a rule have if it is god given or society's?
@arecill Thank you for being sensible. Most arguments I see on youtube make no sense, as if people are trying to offend people rather than get a point across. Anyway, my personal opinion is that religions are sorta like a "glue" to morals. Not trying to offend, of course. And you don't have to believe in God. By Atheism, I should have said "religion-less." Anything that preserves morals. I just disagree with the existentialist stance that morals are up to the individual,
@arecill Because individuals can change their minds. Again, this is just my opinion. But I look at it as if morals are like language: If you have a society that speaks the same language without records, they eventually get to where the people can't understand each other. As it is, new accents rise out of the original speech, even with records. Anyway, my point is that, without a moral religion, a society distorts morals until it's socially acceptable to kill a man for his wife.
@arecill It's just my opinion that morals are set in stone, and should stay that way. We have proof from ancient civilization that lack or a moral religion, or an immoral religion, eventually turns for the worst. Now, I won't reply to anything that's not sensible. I really try not to argue when people don't try to reason.
@KittlerWilkensen i understand. its a bit daunting to believe that one can chose to turn away from someone who has done an act against done or smash a rock on their head. but do you not think that is a lack of self control? i completely agree there will be people who cannot control and shift what society deems okay.
@KittlerWilkensen i see your "glue" point but i just feel that one's attachment to do what is right according to one's morals/expectations/laws are just the same as one's commitment to a god. both can be broken and both can be adhered to. how many religious figures do corrupt things?
@KittlerWilkensen i think what you believe is that people cannot really abide by what is morally good on their own with out as many guidelines as possible. like bumper rails in a bowling alley would you agree? some may land strikes but just as many can land in the gutters with out the aid? i think its more of a personal matter seperate from religion. one choses to abide by the religious rules as long as it is convenient/plausible.
@KittlerWilkensen if it becomes to much then they might stray or be succesful. but that is not because God/relgion has failed them, it is a failure of the person's ability/will to act.
@KittlerWilkensen also hypothetically cant an individual also change their mind from hinuism -> judaism-> then to a member of the west borough baptist church and cause harm bodily/mentally in belief that what he is doing is the right thing to do according to scripture? would you not then condem the person not the religion? i would assume most religions are not violent just badly interpreted and used for personal gain.
@KittlerWilkensen again suppose we eliminate all religions from being practice and people just worship their god +customs and thats that? not practicing from scripture but from pure faith? such prayer/gatherings/and feasts/celebrations. i went off on a tangent here ont he last part and i doubt it has any reason/plausibilty or makes any sense so yeah...
yeah tell us all the truth old man ,why you want to see all the black people hang from a tree ,so when you say you are the commander and chief you tell the general wait to do ,who general Lee ,ya know the confederate asshole who hung blacks from trees ,thats where you got it from

Ron Paul is Right
1955moko 1 day ago
@adstranra However, what Ron Paul is wanting Americans to do is to tear away that first layer and to further analyze the reason as to what may have lead to their formulation of this ideology. Please understand THAT. No matter the reason as to why we were there prior to 911, the important thing is that we were nosily meddling into other state's affairs. This is the 'policing' activity that Ron Paul repeatedly refers to.
phungiepoo 1 day ago
@phungiepoo Well, I am not sure at all that the world would be h
better if we had not "stuck our nose in". Have you seen the extent of the Soviet empire in Eurasia in the 1950s? Most of western foreign policy revolved around 4 things..1) prevention of soviet expansion 2) securing oil 3) preventing fundamental Islam 4) protecting Isreal. We made many mistakes, but what do you think the world would look like if we did not stick our noses in?
adstanra 1 day ago
@phungiepoo as for policing...did you support our interaction in Bosnia? Would you have supported intervention in the Somalia? If you were living in South Korea, wouldn't you be thanking God for US intervention there? I am not saying the west should intervene at all times...but Foreign policy is difficult. And Al Qaeda attacked us for ideological reasons. It is simply naive to think this wish us peace or would be happy if we leave Saudi. We need to wake up to these people.
adstanra 1 day ago
@adstanra Weak. If the international community thinks it right to intervene, and there are legitimate reasons given at the time of intervention then it's legal and there's no problem. However, in Iraq there was OPPOSITION from the international community, they bypassed all legal methods of starting a war, and to top it all off the reasons given were horse shit and they knew it. They took a report that said there were no WMDs and lied saying that it said the opposite.
gopalakartik 1 day ago
@gopalakartik Saddam was thumbing his nose at the international community for decades resulting in a dozen resolutions against him and according to united nations genocide policy , the world should have intervened when he gassed the kurds killing thousands. If you want to wait until the Russians and Chinese approve, when you feel threatened, you are a fool. The UN was impotent in protecting the world and his people from Saddam.
adstanra 17 hours ago
@adstanra So...Iraq was a direct threat to the US now? You do know that they are diametrically opposed to Al Qaeda right? If Saddam saw Bin Laden in Iraq he would be the first to shoot him in the face. He was not a good guy, but you realise that his genocide was NOT the reason the US went in right? If they went to the international community and said "We will stop this injustice against humanity" etc then maybe its justified (still policing, but necessary if they get support). They said WMDs.
gopalakartik 7 hours ago
@gopalakartik Well, I do agree that we did not invade Iraq solely for humanitarian reasons, although I think these were the best reasons for it. We were providing no fly zones however to protect people Saddam was a grave threat to. I do believe that many American and British officials did think they would find WMDs. No one, could say 100 % that Saddam did not have them. All round, the situation was bad. Sanctions and no fly zones could not go on in perpetuity and were killing 30,000 kids every
adstanra 7 hours ago
@gopalakartik year according to world vision. I also think they thought they could finace this war with oil, but it is tragically ironic that most of the valuable oil contracts went to the Russians, the people who mostly supported Saddam all those years. I think Saddam was not a supporter of Al Qaeda ( although Al Zawari was in Iraq), but he was an intense supporter of terrorism and "evil" ...Very difficult situation.
adstanra 7 hours ago
@adstanra Saddam is of a totally different and opposing sect of Islam so yes he did have ties with some terrorism but of a different ilk. I don't think war itself is evil. The war with Iraq could've been framed in a better way and therefore been a good war and not just an invasion of a country for something that wasn't there. If you look at a timeline the US supported Saddam longer than they opposed him. They gave him power. In the end it was purely political to take him down and I dont like it.
gopalakartik 6 hours ago
@gopalakartik well, I don't blame you for being critical. They screwed up wrt WMD and frankly GWB was not brilliant, but I disagree that we supported Saddam. We did however, tend towards supporting him relative to the Ayatollah, but this is understandable. We were not his main supporters. He would have considered us his enemies for most of his reign. We did not give him power, he took it through assassination and terror, a common theme amongst fascists. His aim was a united Arab empire...
adstanra 4 hours ago
@gopalakartik i don't know what you mean by "purely political" . Criticize all you like, that is your right, but also please recognize the difference between the US and Al Qaeda, Taliban , Saddam and the Mullahs of Iran. the future of humanity literally depends upon this recognition. And the fundamental Islamists don't care an iota for the Palestinians. They find it horrific that the west has power over Islamic people. Read chapter 9 of the Quran and wake up.
adstanra 3 hours ago
@adstranra Well, just the fact that you said 'we were not in Iraq prior to 911' then admit it afterwards but provided an excuse that we were there to help just decreases your credibility a little bit. It's not 'we did not do this' but then afterwards 'we did that only because...' or 'what were not there' then afterwards 'we were there because.' It's whether we did it, or we did not. Anyways, I am quite clear what their ideologies are.
phungiepoo 1 day ago
@phungiepoo I believe the context of my comment related to someones suggestion that bad things happen to us in retaliation for our actions. I will admit ,obviously, that we were engaged with the regime prior to 911 in the form of Sanctions, Gulf war 1 ect. But Saddam was not a reaction to us and Saddam had to be contained in some way.I am always curious to see how other people would have contained Saddam...a thorough talking to, Sanctions that kill kids?

NaomII1986 1 day ago
@adstanra That's not the sole nor only reason as to why Al-Qaueda attacked America. Osama himself also said that one of the main reasons that motivated the 911 attack was because he wanted the american troops to leave Iraq. As Ron Paul beautifully put, they are not attacking America just because we are prosperous and free. That's just over-simplyfing things without really analyzing the true root of the problem.
phungiepoo 1 day ago
@phungiepoo we were not in Iraq prior to 911! Al Qaeda is a military organisation that will never be satisfied with our troops out of Saudi. They are against everything our society stands for. They are disgusted with our values. This was not an attack on us because of bases in Saudi (used to expel Saddam from Kuwait). They attacked the UN embassy in Iraq killing people trying to help Iraq, partly because a senior UN official negotiated the sovereignty of East Timor which AQ felt should be muslim

RobMonty248 2 days ago
Why is it so hard for Americans to even consider that perhaps the 9/11 came about as a result of a series of causes and reactions? It seems as though they're satisfied to believe that Iraq 'started' the war without even analyzing the possible motivations behind the attack. Of course this doesn't make the 9/11 any less horrible or wrong, but refusing to even consider the root of the problem will not help the formulation of the solution.
phungiepoo 2 days ago
@phungiepoo 911 was not about bases in Saudi or even Isreal. Al-Qaeda attacked the symbols of american society, including the WTC which represents capitalism. No doubt one of the targets was the White House or Capital hill, symbols of Democracy. @syh11s029 that's a horrible mentality. a better leader will yield a better government, and with ron paul, more peaceful relations with other countries.

syh11s029 3 days ago
@syh11s029 you say that as if everyone in USA wants what happened. government is the one at fault, and ron paul supporters are the ones who realize that. ron paul will stop the warmongering and will return to true constitutionalism. and as far as religion, that doesn't have anything to do with it, this is completely secular.. and btw, i'm not even from USA, but we have to be aware that you can't fight fire with more fire, or you just become the same as the ppl you hate.

I also understand that the only reason it is illegal was because the paper industry wanted a monopoly of the industry and didn't want hemp taking their money.
kidmj14 4 days ago
@kidmj14 AAARGGGGHHH! I never said pot causes you harm, etc. All I say is that we shouldn't use drugs to get high and stoned and buzzed and relax and unwind and enjoy life! DON'T ANY OF YOU PEOPLE HAVE MORALS OR COMMON SENSE?? Grow up already! I just can't BELIEVE the attitudes of Internet people!!!
cindybin2001 4 days ago
@cindybin2001 We do have morals. "Us people" ? The majority of the world disagrees with your statements. All you give anyone here is your opinion. If you think that it is morally unacceptable to smoke weed or do whatever good for you. You should listen to what Ron Paul says instead of just hearing him say he's for giving everyone their freedoms and you don't find it morally acceptable. Please think of this today or whenever. If you were born in another country would your views be the same?
kidmj14 4 days ago
@kidmj14 yes my views would be the same! I'm a grown adult and WELL PAST the age where I'd want to use a drug, legal or not. We all need to take a stand and set an example and help all these pot smokers I see online! It is just TERRIBLE! Where do they all come from?? What kind of grown adult would want to smoke POT?? Or drink alcohol??
cindybin2001 4 days ago
@cindybin2001 You haven't made a valid point ever. Throughout your whole argument on why pot or whatever should or shouldn't be illegal. You believe it's morally wrong. Most everyone else does not. I do not think it's morally wrong. Just because you think it's "wrong" or morally unjust doesn't make it so. Some people think it's morally right to murder millions of people. I just find no reason to say that people that smoke pot are morally wrong. Please remember that it is your opinion not a fact.
kidmj14 4 days ago
@kidmj14 It's not just an issue of morals, but COMMON SENSE! A grown adult should be WELL PAST the age where they want to use a drug to relax and unwind, enjoy life, get high and buzzed and stoned, etc. What a thing to do! People need to set an example and not use drugs, legal or not! Man you people drive me nuts. Any young person reading these YouTube boards would think that when you grow up, it's okay to smoke POT! That is TERRIBLE!!!
cindybin2001 4 days ago

And we
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@cindybin2001 Answer me this ol wise one, why should alcohol be legal and not pot? We outlawed alcohol during prohabition, many years ago, that didnt' work. Did people stop drinking, of course not. People will always do what they want. thats just how things are. They made it legal and made the appropriate laws to govern it. Why can't we do the same for pot. Does keeping it illegal stop people from using it? No.
bigconan 2 days ago
@bigconan SHOULD NOT USE DRUGS TO GET AND STONED AND BUZZED AND RELAX AND UNWIND! We are supposed to use hobbies and interests and our own minds! I'm a grown adult and would NEVER smoke pot or drink wine, etc. What a thing to do!! Oh you people need to grow up. I mean it. You set a terrible example and go against everything that most parents try to teach their kids about drugs and life. What parent would EVER raise their kids to think it's okay to smoke POT when they grow up???
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@bigconan And of COURSE I have used aspirin and antibiotics! But not to get high and stoned and relax and unwind! And these are LEGAL THINGS! They are used for a physical ailment that nobody WANTS to have! Can't you see the difference? Oh you people drive me batty! Why would you even THINK of comparing smoking pot with aspirin or antibiotics??? That is just RIDICULOUS!!!

@cindybin2001 @cindybin2001 Please have an open mind for a moment. If you were born in a different country would your religious/moral values be the same? If you really don't believe me just think about it for one moment. Think if you were born in England would you believe? They are 80% atheist.

Then when you grow up, it's okay to smoke POT? And if we get busted, it won't matter; just tell the
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@cindybin2001 I'm a Mormon, too. But I'm also a Ron Paul supporter. It's definitely agreeable that you don't support drugs; they're immoral. But Ron Paul's stance isn't to legalize drugs. It's to bring the decision down to the state level. It's unconstitutional for the federal government to be involved in that. Even if the states were to legalize them, I don't think it would make much difference. People don't do drugs because it's immoral, not because it's illegal.
KittlerWilkensen 2 days ago
@P00nTeAr just that people in other countries who don't have "luxury lives" like we do use drugs to get high, so that makes it okay." HA! Where I live, you'd be thrown into jail for saying something like that! For that reason alone, parents have to tell their kids to avoid drugs! It is ILLEGAL to smoke pot! But even if it were legal it doesn't make it right! What parent would ever raise their kids to think it's okay to smoke POT when they grow up?? What a thing to do!!!
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@cindybin2001 yes it makes it okay you fucking idiot. stop reciting your same points that i have seen you type to every single person including me. you present no facts or actual understanding on the subject. you just say the words "COMMON SENSE", "I CANT BELIEVE IT" and "WHAT A THING TO DO" all in caps too. i cant handle arguing with you, you just re-post the same shit regardless of what i have just said. do everyone on this website a favour and fuck off to your blind and pathetic life. cheers.
P00nTeAr 3 days ago
@P00nTeAr Now see? You're proving my point. You use profanity and get all mad just because I speak up against recreational use of marijuana. It is just unbelievable. And I'd never vote for Ron Paul because of all the pot smokers who are for him just because he wants to legalize drugs.
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@cindybin2001 and you are proving my point that im wasting my time talking to you because to consistantly ignore my points and facts and fail to prove me wrong. part of arguing is addressing your oppositions arguement and ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY SAID SO YOU CAN COMPOSE YOUR COUNTER ARGUEMENT. you have completely FAILED TO DO THIS SIMPLE THING. you also brush off when a consistantly prove you incorrect and retreat back to your same weak opinionated arguement. stop being dumb please.

cindybin2001 3 days ago
@P00nTeAr and will be treated like dirt. I didn't make the law, I'm just stating the fact. cindybin2001 3 days ago
I read it but
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@P00nTeAr knew it wasn't right. I searched and searched and finally found correct information about the church. Then I went to church services, and talked to missionaries and asked more questions, and studied, pondered and prayed. I've been a member for over 30 years and can't imagine being in any other church. And as I've said, if I believed half of what I've seen and heard about Morons online, I'd think they were nuts, too. But please take the time to learn the truth!
cindybin2001 3 days ago
@cindybin2001 listen carefully........ you ARE in fact a mormon. a MORMON. and you are telling me about learning the "truth". what are you thinking? hahahahaha
P00nTeAr 2 days ago
@P00nTeAr I'm a Mormon and still a Ron Paul supporter. To me, he seems the obvious choice to members of our faith. One of the things we believe is that God ordained the constitution to be the law of this land, and Dr. Paul is the only one who supports this. But to put down a person in a argument because of his/her religion is a logical fallacy. Religion is actually very important in keeping a moral society. That is, everything except Atheism.
KittlerWilkensen 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen it doenst matter if i agree with you or not. i detect logic and reason in your tone therefore i respect what you have to say (even if i disagree). i wont argue with you because despite our difference in opinion i can tell you have an open mind -and that is all that matters. cindybin2001 on the other hand displays a tone of a classic narrow-minded and stubborn person. i poked fun or her religion merely because she brought it up as her only source and basis for her arguement.
P00nTeAr 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen may i ask why atheism is the only thing that cant keep a moral society?Am i interpreting that wrong? I do not believe in a God, (notice cap G)yet i wish not to harm anyone nor do i wish for others to do so.I read,I write,& I play music,I eat healthy and I wish to make the world a better place.Am I not allowed to do thatmyself? Is spiritual guidance absolutely necessary in society?
what difference technically does a rule have if it is god given or society's?
arecill 2 days ago
@arecill Thank you for being sensible. Most arguments I see on youtube make no sense, as if people are trying to offend people rather than get a point across. Anyway, my personal opinion is that religions are sorta like a "glue" to morals. Not trying to offend, of course. And you don't have to believe in God. By Atheism, I should have said "religion-less." Anything that preserves morals. I just disagree with the existentialist stance that morals are up to the individual,
KittlerWilkensen 2 days ago
@arecill Because individuals can change their minds. Again, this is just my opinion. But I look at it as if morals are like language: If you have a society that speaks the same language without records, they eventually get to where the people can't understand each other. As it is, new accents rise out of the original speech, even with records. Anyway, my point is that, without a moral religion, a society distorts morals until it's socially acceptable to kill a man for his wife.
KittlerWilkensen 2 days ago
@arecill It's just my opinion that morals are set in stone, and should stay that way. We have proof from ancient civilization that lack or a moral religion, or an immoral religion, eventually turns for the worst. Now, I won't reply to anything that's not sensible. I really try not to argue when people don't try to reason.
KittlerWilkensen 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen i understand. its a bit daunting to believe that one can chose to turn away from someone who has done an act against done or smash a rock on their head. but do you not think that is a lack of self control? i completely agree there will be people who cannot control and shift what society deems okay.
arecill 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen i see your "glue" point but i just feel that one's attachment to do what is right according to one's morals/expectations/laws are just the same as one's commitment to a god. both can be broken and both can be adhered to. how many religious figures do corrupt things?
arecill 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen i think what you believe is that people cannot really abide by what is morally good on their own with out as many guidelines as possible. like bumper rails in a bowling alley would you agree? some may land strikes but just as many can land in the gutters with out the aid? i think its more of a personal matter seperate from religion. one choses to abide by the religious rules as long as it is convenient/plausible.
arecill 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen if it becomes to much then they might stray or be succesful. but that is not because God/relgion has failed them, it is a failure of the person's ability/will to act.
arecill 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen also hypothetically cant an individual also change their mind from hinuism -> judaism-> then to a member of the west borough baptist church and cause harm bodily/mentally in belief that what he is doing is the right thing to do according to scripture? would you not then condem the person not the religion? i would assume most religions are not violent just badly interpreted and used for personal gain.
arecill 2 days ago
@KittlerWilkensen again suppose we eliminate all religions from being practice and people just worship their god +customs and thats that? not practicing from scripture but from pure faith? such prayer/gatherings/and feasts/celebrations. i went off on a tangent here ont he last part and i doubt it has any reason/plausibilty or makes any sense so yeah...
