@XizelSF Two handed backhands are for lumbering players with no style, until Federer all tennis "experts" said the one handed backhand was dead... guess they were wrong.
@11december2008 I myself use a 1HBH, but your first point reeks of bias. Secondly, 1HBH being dead before Federer? Before Federer was the last generation of 1HBH. Sampras was there. Haas was there.. The experts would be wrong to say such things, but you probably misunderstood them. AFTER Federer, 1HBH will likely be "dead." Right now, though, we have some of the best 1HBH on tour. Gasquet, Wawrinka, and Almagro have comparable BH to Federer and even better, but not as much the whole package.
@hattrickster33 Dude you obviously have no idea about tennis, its not football where you score a goal. Thats just one shot in a match, it doesnt make a difference if he does it in a slam. Its just ONE backhand in which he had a good contact point. Thats all
@8xXxAnzAxXx8 Murray is 4th out of 6.7 billion, there's only 3 people who can say he's not as good as them. If you think #4, 19 titles, 7 Masters etc is bad...then you need to get your head out of your serbian ass. Suck it up and stop watching Murray videos you idiot.
@8xXxAnzAxXx8 I'm gonna be blunt here, not only are you being a racist, glory-hunting bastard by supporting the top 3 players and saying Murray sucks, but you clearly don't understand that he's won more titles than most which is an achievement in himself, boohoo he hasn't won a Grand Slam. I'm not a Murray fan but he still has many years, so, get you're dumbass, glory-hunting, biased mouth off of Nole's balls and try to enjoy the game, not the players.
i think the answer here is pressure. in these events there is far less pressure to perform, but because theres less pressure you perform. with grand slams, i reckon he feels the pressure of carrying his country to win a slam
@hattrickster33 Murray's been rock solid in the slams. He's made 3 slam finals, 4 semifinals, 2 quarterfinals including reaching the Final of the Australian Open(respectively losing to Djokovic) and the semis of the French Open and Wimbledon respectively losing to Nadal. I don't see how murray is bad in the slams. He does well in the slams. He just needs something to go all the way
@hattrickster33 well anytime its a big semifinal or final, who could blame Murray for being nervous? especially when it's against Nadal. I'm pretty sure Djokovic had the same problem but ever since he won the Davis Cup he plays with so much more confidence. Murray's got the talent, he just needs that mental edge which he has potential of getting.
@hattrickster33 its just pressure, he needs to learn that he doesn't have to play it safe at the semis or finals, well, he can but the level as u said, is dropped and by a tremendous amount.
@Rafathaman94 His shots mostly luck? Oh c'mon dude where the hell do I start with that comment. You hate him = Everything is supposedly luck. Murray has soft hands (if u get the term i'm using), he can pull off some nifty tricks and his backhand is rock solid.
I have got a question. Is Andy Murray able to generate that speed (159 km/h) consistantly? Or was it only luck. Did he just dropted as hard as he could and all of a sudden he generated a backhand with about 159 km/h. Is he in a position to hit a backhand at that speed in every match always when he wants to??
@maxchen2006 he was in perfect position to hit a hard backhand, right at the baseline and to the far left side which allows more margin for error and more angle. the ball was coming in not to fast and not so slow that he has to generate his own pace and it was also at the perfect height. Murray will try to step in and play aggressive when he feels he needs to e.g against Nadal. Its not luck its his technique and his forward weight transfer. He practice it alot
@maxchen2006 Murray is quite strong, his problem is that he plays a bit too tenative during matches, just like monfils, both have alot of power but they never use it
@maxchen2006 Murray can generate that power, however it's a risky strategy to do that 100% of the time. If you see the score, Murray is a break up 30-15 to Federer, so that would be a good time to take a hard swing. Check any of his matches (Toronto, WTF Semifinal..) he can generate that sorta power. Not luck.
@hattrickster33 Can't handle a thing called pressure?
