The Ducks don't even disclose how much they pay their players as a rule, so there's no way of knowing if money had anything to do with it.

Bertuzzi sucks at offense, sure, but he's a great, hard hitting defensive forward that any team could be looking for. Based on what the Ducks were like this season, I'd say he'll fit in pretty well, if he's ready to not be in the spotlight all the time.
