@leukkemiaa Funny, how Metallic influenced virtually every other Metal band that came out of the 1980s. Mayhem was influenced by them, so was Bathory. Metallica also influenced every band today. Metallica influnced Slayer, and Anthrax, Dark Angel, Testament, and Exodus, and Annihilator, and EVERY OTHER FUCKING BAND THAT HAS EVER BEEN FORMED!

So, Metallica sucks, you say? I say you check your fucking facts.

@jfkdjfd There is no doubt that Metallica influenced those bands in varying degrees, but none of the bands you listed sound remotely close to Metallica and all were able to take what they needed/wanted from Metallica and make their own sound from it. In most cases, their sound was more innovative than Metallica's. Technically speaking, Anthrax formed a couple months before Metallica, meaning that Metallica was not really the first thrash metal band to form (Overkill also formed in 1980).
