@BloodRose1141 Seems like I was misinformed, that is a real shame.
I was under the impression that the english language originated from England and was spread by the british empire through their very aggressive expansion during the colonial era. According to these false informations I had, the United States used to be just one of the many english colonies established during that period.
Shows what I know, curse my history teacher for teaching me all that false stuff.
@Elidhan Yes, it was spread from England across the world, but even the English version is very different from American English. It is like the difference between northern and southern France. Same language, vital differences. While it is true that I should have said American English, I didn't realize at the time that I would have to be that specific. So let me reiterate, AMERICAN English sounds like shit compared to most other languages. It is halting and slow.
@symphony929 it's a commercial called "The Best Test Drive Ever. Period." for a new Mini or something... saw it during an advertisement at a movie theater.
@DremordDrale I know a very beautiful swedish woman, and she spoke swedish to her mother over the phone...listening to her speak in swedish was a DREAM!
