  • sorry to bother but.. I was able to run shreddage but it has this demo timeout thing in there

the manual said that there is no registration or activation needed. help!

  • shreddage bass would be amazing, you guys should do that someday.

  • i just had this now. i was so excited but then i couldnt get it to work on fl. does it need kontakt for it to work on fl?

  • @galiant609 yep, it works through kontakt

  • @MASSRCOR

thanks. i thought i did something wrong there.

  • Hi, zirconst, has Shreddage been ported over to Directwave yet?...and if not, any chance of a eta for that?.

    Cheers, bud.

  • Guys I need your help. Which path do you recommand me for solo "tapping" notes style ? I can't find any one to sound corretly, any sugestions please ?

  • @DromEdxFr fast tapping? make sure the release knob is around 50 or so and turn down the "noises" down a bit (if you're using a patch with noises [chordstops, etc])

also, make sure the velocity on the notes isn't too high. works for me lol

    Just experiment around...

  • shreddage is still the best sounding sampled guitar library I've used.

  • LOL around 5:10 it sounds like Doom 95's 1st stage haha

  • Wow! This seems like an amazing product. I may have to get Kontakt just for this, though I'm aware it will be useful to have anyway. +999999 points for showcasing it using the Dragon Ball Z "Rock The Dragon" track! --- Big DBZ nerd here! :D'

  • The song which starts at 14:23... Is there anywhere that we can listen to it?!? I. Love. That. Song.

  • your end music sound great !

  • that first melody is totally the doom theme

  • I don't expect this to work like a babies toy like deuone does, but I expect it to deliver great sound quality even if I have to automate each knob and velocity step.

This thing looks amazing, sounds amazing, it's amazing.

It's a shame deuone comments got a lot of attentions because this work deserve far more praise.

  • i just uploaded a metal demo using fruity loops but i used shreddage guitar synth and slate drums, the mix isn't great but it's the first mix ive done. i plan to upload some more metal tracks and work on my mixing, any advice would be welcome, check it out.

  • como haces para poder tocar el teclado midi y que suenen todas las notas?? en mi teclado no suenan todas las notas cada tecla corresponde a un isntrumento

  • When you did those muted powerchords with that Bleed-type rhythm, that was djenty as balls. Can't wait to use this to write. I'm a drummer so this a dream come true for me. This is an excellent improvement on the original product.

  • Do they have a trail for THIS ONE......the metal one?

  • whats the song at the end of the vid???

  • can you tell me how to get this into fl studio, i cant figure it out

  • Not buying this before i can try a trial for a week or so :)

  • amazing

  • I will try this before I buy electricity ! Thx for making it a very low priced library !

UPDATE - I just watched teh demo... i dont give a F*^$#* whats the $(#YR*(#Y others say .. im buying this shiznit RIGHT da HELLZ NOW ! nice fdemo !

  • I will try this before I buy electricity ! Thx for making it a very low priced library !

  • im kind of freaking out that this exists

  • For some reason when I try to mix my work into an mp3, the shreddage track does not show up in the mix. I can hear it fine in the daw but no where else. Also the track occasionally stutters, is there any troubleshooting for the vst?

  • I watched the Shreddage X video on YouTube and I JIZZED. IN. MY PANTS.

  • kinda disapointed with this product, bought it thinking it was fairly easy to jump into, but i cant even add it as library to kontakt, have to dig through the database to find any of the patches by searching for shreddage, really annoying. and all patches sound alike, like banjos, nothing sound remotely metal, i'm sure im just an idiot that doesnt know how to plug on the distort, but this is alot less user friendly than i had imagined it would be.

  • @deuone I'm working on another tutorial video that shows how to get up and running in <30 seconds from a completely blank project, so I think that will help you. You do need a good amp sim for this to work properly, but you're in luck, we're about to release a free update powered by ReValver that will solve that issue too :-) Lastly, as for having to scan the database, unfortunately this is the case for any non-"Kontakt Player" instrument... other sample devs have to deal with this too.

  • @zirconst okay, i don't mean no disrespect, i just get easily frustrated with stuff not working like i originally thought it would. do you use effects beside shreddage x in your video to get the sound you get? cause i can't get it to sound anything like this with shreddage x alone.

  • @deuone No problem. No other effects there, just Guitar Rig 4. You can see exactly what presets I'm using and the notes I sequenced - there's nothing going on that you don't see in the video. But like I said, very very soon I'll be doing another one which breaks it down into even more detail, step-by-step, including amping!

  • @zirconst you got a tutorial up yet, bought this last night, and i struggling setting it up.

  • @deuone You know how electric guitar works, right? You have to put it through distortion. Otherwise it sounds like a dry acoustic guitar.

  • @neblixsaber

Not to nitpick, but there's generally quite a difference in acoustic guitar tone compared to an unamplified or un-distorted electric guitar.

  • @LostBlossom That's why I said "dry".

  • @deuone Yes, u r. Use an amp sim.

  • what music on 14:20 ?

  • @FoxyCouz

Pendulum - Self vs. Self (featuring In Flames)

  • Does this work with Reason?

  • I actually repeated that dragonball Z riff a couple of time to learn it on the bass. It's a pretty easy riff that sounds very phatt!!

  • that riff you made is basically the theme for the original Doom, e1m1.

  • @supershiva11 You have good ears, I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that.

  • @thepryest haha thanks bro. I played the hell out of that game, so i have that riff basically memorized haha. I believe it was based off of a metallica song, not master of puppets though, can't remember the name. This vst sounds amazing by the way.

  • Did you guys redo Self Vs Self at the end there?

  • There goes my career!

  • bought it but I have no option for the mod wheel in FL Studio. How the hell do I add it?

  • Nice guitars, "Shreddage & Shreddage X" actually stopped me from purchasing a $355.00 Part 2 of a VST.

I'm glad I found this at $70.00 for both sets, just a fraction of the price that I was going to pay, and the guitars are more realistic sounding, buying Kontakt is another story though...Lol.

Great video, Shreddage & Shreddage X is the bomb.

Can't wait to see more video's using Sonar as well, I'm using Sonar X1 Producer...hint :)

    keep those video's coming....Lol.

    Peace & blessings.

  • I didn't know you knew Dragon Ball Z! =D

  • This is it. Now it has enough options for compositional variety. I'm buying this. Perferct work fellas, and suitable for the most retarded such as me.

  • Sorry, I'm kind of confused on the Kontakt question

OK, before I buy the Bundle, I would like to know a few things.

I use Sonar X1 Producer and I do have BigFish Rig and GPO that comes with Kontakt and I am using Kontakt 4.

My question is , would I need to still buy the full version of Kontakt or would it continue to time out DEMO using Shreddage & Shreddage X through

the plugins that Kontakt came with, would I still need to purchase a separate full version of Kontact?

  • @Reggmail You do need the FULL version of Kontakt 4 (not "Kontakt 4 Player" or "Kontakt Player") to use these libraries, as with the rest of our sounds. However, we're working on porting Shreddage (original) to the DirectWave sampler format, and DW is only $100.

  • @zirconst ok i got the guitar, and i LOVE IT!! but i have one small problem... how do i put the "Control" thing in the fl studio so that i control the Mod Wheel like you did?? :S

  • @ticofa2 watch?v=53e-vlM9sdI is what I found. I can add it in but I can't seem to make it affect anything.

  • @CommieComrade179 ohhh now i got it :D.... are you sure you have Kontakt 5 And the Expansion of Shreddagge??

  • @ticofa2 Yes, I have both. I was able to finally get it to work after some time, but I don't know what I did.

  • also do you include the amp presets and what drums do you use in your demos???

    THanks, sounds great.

  • @portumadre Thanks! Yes, the library comes with amp sim presets for a variety of plugins. The drums used in the demos are generally Steven Slate.

  • So we need the original shreddage for shreddage X right?

  • @portumadre Yep, but you can pick them up as a bundle :)

  • @zirconst Thanks you guys ROCKKKKKKK!

  • This video just made me cum out my ears. Now my headphones are all messed up thanks a lot >:(

  • I've tinkered with MoR, Prominy, Pettinhouse, strawberry guitar and electri6ity and not a damn one has half as good palm mutes as this cheap as dirt library. Between all the libraries, a real guitar is almost unneeded. Bass from these folks sounds like it'd be fantastic.

  • This seems like a great program for people to experiment with making hard rock/metal songs. It sounds pretty band when played next to a live human doing the real thing though. Its just got that 'video game chop' to it.

Palm Muting and the a Strum cannot be recreated by technology, or at least none that exist today.

  • That sample is SLICK IDIOT! You stealers! Haha

  • Just bought it today and already getting killer results out of it (I'll be posting a new track soon that shows it off). That's what I loved about the philosophy behind Shreddage - small system footprint with a big sound and real ease of use. It was just lacking in the way of realistic articulation, but seems that issue is fixed with Shreddage X!

Just one thing, make sure the website and the manual say that it needs the latest Kontakt 4, I had to update from 2.0 to 2.2 to get it running. Cheers!

  • Nice!

    I wanna download it!

  • Amazing as usual, Andy. Your work makes me wish I actually understood how to do this kind of stuff. :P

  • I will buy this because of the DBZ music. I was like "why does that sound familiar?"

  • Dragon Ball Z ♥

  • Kudos for freestyling Doom music :D

  • BTW, any chance of a metal/hard rock bass guitar release from impact :D?

  • @korniceman3000 You know, we get a lot of requests for that. I'd say it's officially on our list of things to do.

  • @zirconst AWESOME!! :D! Can't wait!

  • hey this looks great what's the song in the end pleaaase ?

  • @xDante182x Pendulum - Self vs Self (featuring In Flames). The particular version presented in the video is zircon's reproduction using Shreddage X. I think it's on Impact Soundworks' forum on KvR.

  • @Zshazz crazy stuff man ! but i could find only a short version did zircon reproduce the whole song ?

  • @xDante182x Nope. There's just that short one as far as I'm aware.

  • @Zshazz Ok thx a lot i got the original version but i still prefer this one too bad it's so short ! :)

  • WOW! AMAZING! This was done using only Gtr Rig 4 and no other filters? Awesome!! This is definitely a must have. Hope you guys will also consider creating a gtr exp pack but with already distorted professional samples in the guitar style of metalcore bands such as Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine or hard rock bands Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle. Something ready to use would work great as an instant back track without tedious trial and error. Looking forward to this release!!

  • Geezus!! nobody's gonna dislike this video =)

  • How do you copy and paste patterns in the piano roll ,and can you apply that to the song arrangement screen?

  • Christ on a cracker, this beats out Ministry of Rock 2 any day of the week.

  • awesome, this would be an awesome addiction to my library. i lack a good metal sound

  • heh, your using the new beta.

Honestly, I dont like the new look of the Piano-roll...

also, what program are you using to record your screen, the sounds and as well as your mic all at the same time?

  • Love my Shreddage, looking forward to this purchase :-)!

  • Sounds really great! The only thing holding me back from buying it is the pricetag of Kontakt 4, the price of this library and the original shreddage is great though! If I ever get Kontakt, count me in :-)

  • lol man was driving me nuts trying to think of the song played at the end, just realized its Self vs. Self :P

  • \m/ sounds great

  • Hey dude, you should fix that link...

  • kinda sound like Doom E1M1

  • @supersaiyan2ian Oh yes.

  • This looks absolutely amazing. Need more money. :\

  • Best "Rhythm" guitar library? Do you mean that there's a separate one or better one pertaining to making lead riffs or am I misinterpreting?

  • @Spudman89 Shreddage was built to be a rhythm library. There are actually a lot of guitar libraries out there, some of which sounding not too bad for leads, so we decided to tackle rhythm instead, which basically everything else is pretty bad at. With SX, we added a ton of stuff that makes it even better for lead playing, BUT we didn't sample the entire range of the guitar. Now... if we were ever to do a Shreddage 2, we'd definitely do leads as well!

  • @zirconst Thank you for the information, are there any lead guitar VSTs you would personally recommend?

  • Best guitar emulation I've ever heard.

  • This really makes me want to get Komplete like right away. ._.

  • i'm thinking of buyin this as well, try to combine it with some dubstep ;)

  • Sounds really really good for Metal Guitar and for $20 I don't think the metal head producers should miss out on it!!! Sounds likes a great piece of kit to me! :D

  • which vst is this mate ?

  • @tushar223

    I Think Kontakt 4 , maybe 5

  • @tushar223 The original Shreddage works with Kontakt 2 or above, Shreddage X will be available for Kontakt 4. I'm using K4 in this video :-)

  • @zirconst -]. wait, so I can't use that with FL without getting Kontant 2? is that the same with Koto Nation? .[-

  • @zirconst Does it work with the free version of Kontakt?

  • Soooo...what you're saying is I've wasted 12 years learning the intricacies of playing the guitar? Great :(

  • @brandonbush1 nope without you guys we wouldnt have this

  • @brandonbush1 I think you shouldn't think of it as a waste. Nothing beats the sound of the original thing, but this is great too.

  • @brandonbush1 Yes, dude. That's exactly what he's saying. I've been playing keys for close to 20 years. Now I can play any instrument!

  • @brandonbush1 Yes. Now a 9 year old can sound better than you.

It does boggle the mind doesn't it? Typing in notes on a piece of software that sounds good, adding a backup band, mixing it down and then mastering it. Holy Wow.

  • @DudleyaSetchellii Still, the feeling of playing guitar is totally different and better than just using a software for it

  • @ReidakkDrifter Yes, I get that. I've been playing guitar for a long while and took up playing the keyboards, bass and drums afterwards. I've been writing songs since the early 90's as a hobby. My point was that this is completely different, like you say.

I compare the writing of songs with software, synths and samples to a Media Newsroom cutting up news content to make it more applicable to their audience. It's a life-changing radical revolution on the music world and one shouldn't fear it.

  • Awesome!

  • The original, that is.

  • Amazing sound!! Sounds soo real :D Will look into it

    Thanks

  • Truly wonderful, wonderful stuff. I'm about to go purchase now. :)
