I practice differant chinese Poleforms from southern Hung style. I learned that in poleform the right hand must be in front and in the most spearforms the left hand should be the forehand. Why do they hold their left hand in front? Can anyone explain this to me?
@BakMee the yong chun staff is controlled by the right hand wich power is applied through and the power comes from the use of the folcrum wich is the left hand and the hand techniques translate to the staff perfectly if you know what ur doing ;)

Yes, it has very short movements but a very good power. Just my opinion.
