@555misio This also happens in BC2 but I think if it gets into the hitbox then it counts as a kill. But I think it's more of an animation thing. You wouldn't see this happening if you fired it straight on, only if you fired it perpendicular to it. Considering the difficulty level of this, I'm not complaining.

@rageebird: Flares on jets regenerate quickly enough to make it very hard for a single engineer with a stinger to take out a jet. Also, every player has acces to jets and helicopters from the start so it's quite logical that one of the earlier unlocks is a weapon to counter these.
