  • Wow! That worked! My problem was that I used "net use v://vboxsvr/share", but actually it should be "net use v: //vboxsvr/share", i.e. with space after "v:"

But in the last versions of virtualbox there is something like "auto-connect" in the dialog when you adding share folder.

where i can put it back :(

  • Thank you :)

but there is another easier way

which is....... go to.... Computer >>>tools>>>Map network driver>>>choose the driver name>>> then browser to find the shared folder you have chosen to be your shared folder ......... Enjoy

  • thanks! I couldn't find the right way to do it. this is the good way!

  • Thanks gytdoo.

  • how do I transfer files from the guest os to the host? Apparently I don't have permission to put files on the shared folders on the guest os. Do you know a solution for this?

  • @AnImmortalEra you may need to be an administrator. Try it as one and see if that works.

  • is there anyway to share folders between the host and windows 3.1

  • Thanks gytdoo...

  • THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thx thumbs up for this guy

  • Thx bro... you saved my life!!

  • did you install any add-ons? because you can easily access the mouse in the virtual box, because mine i have to click the virtual box.. where did you download the add-ons? also do you know how to make the resolution higher in the guest OS? im currently using windows 7 and guest OS is windows xp.. tnx

  • @rahztee I don't have any add-ons installed in the program itself, but I do in the virtual OS. I think virtualbox has an option to install the add-ons somewhere. I use vmware player now, it's free and installs the add-ons automatically. Plus it's way better.
