Certainly Europeans of the past never learned goog Eng.,only their children born there. I met nice Mexicans in México and some in the US and consider their ancestrals were advanced in many areas. But remember that the US was also built by poor immigrants. Poverty, natural disasters, wars etc. can't be completely extinguished and there will always be people emigrating to different parts of the world searching for a quicker better life. I saw others there,including Braz., who didn't speak Eng. because lived,worked and had friends only between their nationalities. Many wanted to integrate even to get better jobs,but had difficulty and no choice but living between who accepted them. Anyway the 1st and 2nd generations of immigrants always live between 2 cultures (theirs and the new one) until integrate completely.

Imagine the huge shock of cultures here and if people thought they could change foundations. In fact I welcome a limitless amount of Japanese citizens to become US citizens as long as they learn English, and respect our laws - traditions - and customs.

@FAHxQxAAHSoul, have you tried to learn another language? You'll notice that for people with little culture it's really hard. Certainly Europeans of the past never learned goog Eng.,only their children born there. I met nice Mexicans in México and some in the US and consider their ancestrals were advanced in many areas. I was in Peru (S. America) recently and also got impressed in archeological sites. I don't know what they do in the US to be so hated, but certainly prejudices are also included.

But see the history from Mexico until South America. Brazil, for example, was the last country to have slavery and became a Republic only in 1889. In hot places they got and get more pigmentation and in cold places, the opposite. (continuing) The same to other races. See that "cold" Canadian Indians are also much lighter than Latin ones. Today we have air conditioning, heaters etc. to protect us and will keep the same genetics wherever we live. If you want a revenge, send white Americans to spend sometime here, where they won't scape and will get dark anyway and we'll joke that after some months the new color become permanent even when they return. Well, I stop here or they won't visit Brazil anymore... :-)

Carlos, true, most Brazilians are cozy. Living in the tropics I can see how fool racism is. In contact with sun the skin produces melanin (pigmentation) to protect it against burns, skin cancer etc. Millennia ago people who occupied Africa etc could not protect them and the constant production of much melanin became genetic or they would become a "barbecue" as very white people, would die from sin cancer etc. The very curly and voluminous hair they got holds and keeps the sweat (continue)

But let me tell you its a reality they will never stop migrating to the U.S, you deport them and still they will be back here again and again. Illegal immigration started in 1492. there shouldn't be no arguments or dislike about the new Immigration groups. @carlos52321, you have good intentions, but they don't want to see their country invaded by thousands of poors (understandable) and whatever you say won't convince. Similar problems in Brazil with a very big border with many countries. Since the last earthquake, hundreds of poor Haitians are invading the North (easier than the US). For humanitarian reasons, people have tryed to help them fo find jobs etc. But don't wait that Americans etc. think they should always be a charity institution.

@carlos52321, I hope that your Mexican 'brothers' (the poor ones) can find other solutions in their own country without dreaming about leaving poverty quicker in a country where they are not welcome and suffer prejudices. This is worse than poverty! They won't starve. Churchs etc. always help. I felt a good potential in Mexico and think they are able to win social problems of part of the population in a not distant future.

@LoyalNancy Right, but I live comfortably with lots of benefits and a university education. There are many Hispanics that were born here and live just fine in the US. Our parents brought us here it's not like we asked to come. I love this land and country and I don't plan on leaving it. I don't want to move if I have a great career already and my best friends are here. Our church community is strong and alive with Hispanics and Caucasians working together in unity. Thank you though.
