@ShiiAngel only surgery he has ever had was on his back when he was younger. he did however have a bad viral infection in his throat which REALLY affected his voice ( they had to stop the tour for a little bit so he could have a chance to recover properly). he is STILL smoking now.

@ShiiAngel very serious. but anyway, its his choice to smoke and atleast he's on the light kind's so he is keeping it under control besides, if your not a smoker, you dont realise how hard it is to quit. it's not a case of just stopping when you want, you need alot of determination to do it AND help ( whether its just support from people or to get them patches or gum to help). so really, just be glad he's on the light kinds as he'd have to go through hell to stop if he wasnt :/

@ShiiAngel he did, but not anymore. he's really cut down. he's a grown man now, he know's the problems caused by smoking so if he's gunna continue smoking then he know's exactly what he's risking. i know how difficult it is seeing people with cancer( i lost my dad to it) and id be upset if Ruki got it but it's his choice if he is willing to risk it. i suppose, in a way, you could thank it for his voice now because atleast its not as high and squeaky as it used to be :)

He had a very hard childhood and went through hell and back, he worked so hard to reach his dreams, you wouldn't believe it. He wouldn't be a star, he would still be amazing. Because that's how he is. I care because he is an amazing person.

for the smoking, I read the translation from their blogs( not those damned rumors from fans), they said Kai quit smoking long~ time ago, Uruha quit due to health's problems, he chews gums like someone below said. Reita is now trying his best to quit smoking ( yeah let's cheer him <3 ). Ruki and Aoi are still smoking like hell.
