Cliff Burton used both an SB-1000 and a black and gold 1, the latter being his favourite. The BNG 1 is the one seen in many videos with Cliff playing solos live. (source = wikipedia)

I have an Aria Pro II Black 'n Gold, which is basically the same as the bass in the video as black and gold.

It's the same model Cliff Burton played. I want to trade it for an old Fender Jazz, but it's not in very good condition :(

Yes, the SB1000 is a truly fantastic bass. I have one from the early 1980s, with the bat ears.

Tony Butler from Big Country used an SB1000 as well. With a fat chorus, he got that cool fretless sound.
