Everyday my guinea pigs do that to each other! One of mine always puts her head to the other ones rear end and chases her, I don't know why though. Mine are definitely female, are yours?

They sniff each-others backsides to tell if they are friends. A guinea pig who gets on the others back, usually digs her teeth into the other guinea pig, and puts her full weight on her, they do this to prove their power and who is the dominant one. Sometimes they bite, and squirt another guinea pig when they are angry, or trying to show who's in charge. I have 2 female guinea pigs, so I have experience.

@parentefam6 Mine never have. When I put a new girl in with one I'd had for a bit, they just poked each other's noses for a while, then came to some sort of agreement about ten minutes later and worked together to pull their food trough off the cage wall. Mine might be unusual, though.

Guinea pigs "poop" two different types of feces. The first type is hard and generally larger. The other type is smaller and softer and is meant for them to eat. It contain recycled vitamin B and other minerals they need for normal digestion. Every once in a while, they can completely discard of it to eat it, but most often, it has to be eaten from the anus.

you don't have 2 females together the black one is clearly a male if you look closely in this vid you only spot it once he has a white bit showing on his bum thats when he brings his balls down he makes a noise called the motorboat a female does not sniff a females private area for that long the black guinea pig is a male and is your ginger and white one pregnant? because her belly sticks out alot on one side i have 7 guinea pigs of my own i studied on them so i know what im on about

You, my girl, have a case of mistaken identity. What you think is a black female, is actually a black male, and more than likely, your little female (the brown and white one) is pregnant as she's got a very big belly, not a slim one. Also, notice your black one is larger than the other, meaning that most likely, this is a male. The sniffing the butt, is probably him seeing if she's in season.

Guinea pigs assert dominance by doing this - they will fight until one can mount the other one - asserting his/her dominance over the other, thats all :)

You could put some toys or food in the cage, it's very boring for them like this. Also maybe some hay or a piece of cloth, the ground must be cold to their feet :)

Guinea pigs like most herbivores like to eat eat eat.. When there is a shortage of food they might eat the same food twice if you know what I mean. So my advise is to provide them with food and water at all times. Herbivores have to eat huge quantities of plants to get enough protein. A cow is a prime example.

My older two females LOVE each other! They follow one another and well sit by each other. It's amazing that some get together and others don't.

They aren't fighting there just following each other. when they fight over dominance one will walk slowly and waggle there butt a little bit and start making a really deep growl. You can tell when they do this because it's like no other sound pigs make.

Plus I feel sorry for these pigs they have no access to grass and such a little area for them to play in, poor things.

They are so there's no sense of them mating and I also have a video with really los rumbling and a big fight :D Mounting for males if like them trying to jump on top of one another It wasnt much of a fight tho and alot of the noises were scared noises and mad noises

It's a way of establishing dominance, they have to work out their pecking order. It's completely normal and unless they are drawing blood from each other they are getting along in a normal guinea pig way.

Well males do that t eachther sometimes. Well both females were doing it to eachother. I got a baby very small baby guinea and my friend got one too. they fought but no humping because they are so young and now they cudle it cute. But no humping thank god!!!
