Entertainers of before had so much depth to their character and were naturally good looking with amazing features and just entertaining or interesting outstanding qualties about them that made them a star. He sings the song much better than Travolta because Travolta wasn't REALLY a singer, he was an actor that they had sing and fixed his audio to make him song 'better' in most songs. This is a hard song to sing 'live'. Travolta would have never sung it live. But Donny could have never played the 'bad boy' role at all in the movie....
