I'm told the hull on a Vago is almost indestructible, which makes it great as a club boat. Beginners collide - A LOT, and fibre-glass doesn't do well with that kind of abuse.
That's what I was thinking. But then I tried sailing it, and it just isn't. You have to go back or it will nose dive! And for the record, I can't buy a 29er for the same price as a Vago. And this boat is perfect, if you wan't to give someone his first genacker experience!
thats just what i said, isnt it? but the risk of a nosedive is not the problem. id say a nosedive with a vago is nearly impossible. im sailing the vago for about three years now. and i tried a lot to be fater (GPS speed control). my experience is that the boat cuts the waves much better when you sit in the rear part and is much faster then.
a 29er is very different to a vago, much harder to sail. for me the 49er was the next and right step after the vago.
This is the point were I have to say I was just reading to fast, and I was thinking that you said they should be more in the front of the boat, sorry for that. I have much more reasons to get more to the rear of the boat, but my english isn't that good. Sorry!!
