Personally I think it would have been better to record this to a backing track without the lead guitar. What you were playing sounded pretty good but the timing was a bit off and it kind of took away from it.
@ClaytonWelter Yeah I know, I've been planning on doing a re-do with just a backing track but I've been putting it off. It'll be up one of these days though
sounds pretty good man! like others have said, lost it a bit there near the end, but otherwise really good. Seems like you've got some good distortion on that amp too.
@gundamnitpete Thanks man, if you care to know it's a Marshall MG50DFX. I dont see why they have such a bad rep all you need is some tweaking. I'm using the amps distortion and the only pedal being ran through is a compression sustainer
Pretty good cover man, it's a good solo! Some bends are a bit out of tune and your guitar is not that loud but you seem to have most of it down, good job.
Wicked man really like how the solo is so progressive and gets crazy by the end. Great stuff. Might not be "perfect" but it'll blow the socks off most people!
Thanks for the comment on UG mate! I thought you done pretty well on this, keep practicing and you'll be nailing Gilmour's bends in no time. Good choice on song too, one of my favourite solos of all time is the Pulse live version. That one is really good for practicing bending.
It's pretty gewd but if I can give you one tip thats more or less the key to soloing.... The silence between the notes makes it, the notes itself! Go for the little stacatto pieces and sudden cutouts/mutes he does it will bring the solo into the next level =)
This is pretty good. Pink Floyd solos are hard to cover because they require so much feel. In yours, there are just a few licks and bends that need to be worked on, but I think with a little more practice you'll be able to master it.
