Yeah Ducs are nice, rode a mates 848. Nice but not that special....certainly not 25K worth.

If I could have one, I would. I had my 848 in for its 1000km service and when I was out the back there was a D16RR sitting in its box. I just wanted to reach in and touch it.

i have ridden 08 r1's 03 gsxr 100's and i own a desmo. the power from the ducati is in a different league. from the bottom of the rpm range all the way up to 14 k. the handling is so stable its rediculous. you do have to lean over harder and suspension very stiff but you want that and at high speeds it feels stable.i did 168 on that thing felt like 110 on my 05 r6 .

i was doing 168 tachen 11k in 5th . more to go and one more gear . plus brakes have a death grip like whoa

i love ducatis, dont get me wrong, but honestly, bang for buck goes hands down to the japanese vtwins like the sv1000 and the vtrSP1-2.

I was actually lucky enough to see one of these at Spectrum Ducati. The guy who bought it payed $65k for it. Apparently he was in line for 3 years before it was produced and that was the original price. It felt like a holy moment just touching the bike
