Depends on the graphics card/chipset, but I don't see any other reason why it wouldn't. My RAM and processor are good enough so I can run most games without having to worry about the graphics, though.

They're just making excuses. The xbox uses an old 7 series single gpu, and a slow processor compared to even cheap custom build pc's nowadays. To get gow2 running on pc, I'd expect to spend around £400 max on a brand new pc.

It was designed on UnrealEd with high end PC was it not? You know XBox... Microsoft? Look at any 'behind the scenes' or 'making of' clips and you'll see the windows XP explorer boxes looming around in the background. Unreal was forged on PC's as far as I understand it.

Hence the reason it took 2+ years to get 'ported'.

the problem with the pc version is that its REALLY choppy (it makes it hard to get active reloads)

just check the offical GoW forums, theres a patch that fixes it, but it rly depends on your system

i also use a 8500 gt, but still set the graphics all on low

COD 4 is incredably scalable to be honest, which is why you can get some sort of decent quality out of it. your processor and your AGP card is probably a bottleneck for your gaming performance overall. a pentium Dual core e4500 2.2ghz is pretty cheap for example as a possible upgrade. another gig of ram wouldnt hurt too.

Could you re-configure your controls on the PC version? I hate the 'WASA' configuration they have on there. I don't like the space bar either for gaming. I more like the 'up down left right' configuration with shift as my center peice or main action button.
