Good luck... The no HP Memory part would be hard enough(One-hit KO for some bosses), but the no folder customization? *shudder* If my memory serves me correctly, there's only Giga Cannon as a program advance, right?
Nope. No Program Advances at all in the starter folder. It comes close to putting together GigaCannon1 and LifeSword, but since it lacks Cannon C and LongSword S, no such luck.
This is just going to be more annoying than hard because by the time you get to the end of the game you're going to not be able to do enough damage with your entire folder to take out even half the hp of the bosses, and you'll be using your buster for 1000+ hp.
And if you're using beast out, well, considering this is gregar... have fun trying to deal as much damage as you can in three turns.
...fine, I'll admit it. I'm just mad I didn't think of it first.
how about if u try a low hp buster only then......that sounds interesting enough my BN comrade? :D, or how about follow his example and go for BN5 the same way (with all the missions too Owo), i might just do that (both versions)
oh my god you cant be serious ur actauly going to do a low level run of THIS GAME!!! i am keeping SUCH close tabs on this i didnt think it would be possible
I like the shortened cutscenes, because it's been a while since i've played this game... I also have to agree with the net running being the hardest part...
Cutscenes @ minimum please. Also, could you speed up the bits where you run around the world? The battles I can understand leaving in but watching you talk to every npc and run to every blue data that catches your eye will get old.
I say skip all those blasted cutscenes. Not like MMBN6's story was one that kept people glued to it. Also, on another note, I may try this some time...though, i'd probably be on MMBN 3 or later, MMBN 1&2 would be hard to do something like this on.
I actually did a challenge like this for MMBN2 in private once, but with lots of savestate abuse to survive, since the point wasn't to challenge my skills but to see what the true minimum required to finish the game was. I almost managed to do it all with vanilla MegaMan too, but I ended up switching to my Elec style for one battle because deleting the 3 Null&Voids was proving to be impossible without a little customization.

You know, unless you restrict Crosses and Beast Out, I still doubt that it'll be that much of a challenge.
kahux 2 years ago
I'm trying this on StarForce 3, save for the no HP-memory. I wish you luck... Actually, all of the BN6 bosses are easy.
Will you be restricting Crosses and Beast Out?
LightEffexor 2 years ago
No. Then again, I rarely use them anyway, so we may not see much difference either way.

Shinji-kun did a buster run on ForteBX, if I remember correctly... he used killer-cross though.

Oh, wow. Are you going to go up to Bass BX and Gregar Sp?
And I should do this...
faltzar2 2 years ago
I think she'll only beat the game, Bass BX it's hard even with a normal folder.
ZelosX 2 years ago
Very unlikely. I do intend to do some subquests, though.
Kayorei 2 years ago
I've wanted to do this for quite some time now
elecmouse101 2 years ago
Oh, please no cutscenes.
We've all seen it before, so we know what happens, we just wanna see your skill
ablon08 2 years ago
i think you should still commentate through annotations in every vid giving your thoughts and opinions on some things, etc etc; i think it'd be great
but whatever you do this series will end up being epic, good luck and props
ChaosKunai 2 years ago
wow, Bass is gonna be hard.
essentially, it will become a buster run at the later points of the game

woot Kayorei and BN play are back!
RPGGUY2500 2 years ago
So are you trying to beat the entire game with just the default folder?
Xaphirox 2 years ago
You should skip the cutscenes, in my opinion.
Also, considering you're evading HP Memories, are you going to use HP+ Parts in the NaviCust?
BlazeDragonXP 2 years ago
Only if absolutely necessary. I've done this challenge before on BN5 and I didn't need it then, though, so I don't really see it happening now.

I can understand that the cutscenes might be boring, lol, but I've never seen the cutscenes for six (and only six, actually).

Maybe you could speed through the walking, talking, and probably some cut scenes.

How did you get the 'recording gba games' problem solved?
ShadowdaHedgie11 2 years ago
Let's just say I've transferred my alternate method of recording to my brother's computer.

Cutscenes....... maybe you should just keep the important ones. Like the ones near the end of the game and the ones that expose major plot twists.

Navi Customizer?
JuukaRock 2 years ago
Yes. I have to have something that can keep the environment a little fluid. ^_^*
That and what rust I've developed won't allow me to low-HP run a game without UnderShirt, especially if I'm stuck with the starter folder.
