Man, what is that little lick you play at 2:35, it's awesome. Just can't figure out what you're playing. Maybe some muted notes on the D string, then ??!
Hay man, you've got such a great groove in your playing! Love it :) Just out of interest, who do you study? I'm guessing from your other vids Nathan Watts is in there, but you got any suggestions for a wannabe to get to your kind of level?
When I started out Flea eclipsed all my other influences. Since then I've studied the playing of Louis Johnson, Freddie Washington, Pino Palladino, Rodney 'Skeet' Curtis, all of the Jamiroquai bassists, Marcus Miller... Obviously, James Jamerson and Paul McCartney had already been instilled in my brain from a young age, but it's always worth going back to them too.
There's no method to it though. If you hear a bassline that makes you feel good, just look up the player!
@BreakupBass I've not compared it to a Highway One model, but I can vouch for it being a really solid, decent instrument. My other main bass is a Musicman Stingray, but I seem to find myself playing this one more.

@Fjord76 I grew up in London, but I lived in Leeds for a few years to study music. Nowadays I'm based in London again.
Eric Cantona was my childhood hero, hence the cat's name. ;)
