Incredible. Dolly is a true entertainer, and when she sang this to Porter after all those years you knew she still meant every word. She makes me proud to be from Tennessee. She never forgot grete roots and still contributes to her home town.

I have only one regret and that is: I wasn't there to witness this historical ocassion in person! If I knew this was one of the last times that Porter and Dolly would ever be together . . "I would have paid any price to have been there, also"!

This is just unbelievable - big big love on display, no faking it,,,,one of those great musical partnerships Lennon-McCartney. I met Porter Wagoner one morning in Nashville about 5AM. He had his pickup truck and boat and was going fishing and stopped by Krystal for something to eat before heading out. A very genuine and kind man. I apologized for interrupting him, and his exact words were... "Don't apologize for that. I'd worry if nobody recognized me and the music lovers are who made me what I am in this business. I'm very blessed."

@Tampaparrotthead . . I do believe this entirely . . over forty years ago Porter would be fishing on Center Hill and I know first hand from friends of mine . . . they would run into him on the lake and he would treat them the same exact way . . so very genuine!
