It appears that a Norwegian Johan Vaaler did invent a version of the paper clip in 1899 that really never worked and was never put in production. It appears that he found out that an American had invented it in 1867 and another American refined it to the current design in 1877.
But that fact never stopped Norway in claiming they invented the paper clip. In fact they put it on one of their stamps and erected a monument in 1989 at the business school BI in Sandvika, Oslo.

um ok i dont want to join an argument but the z06 is one HELL of a car. its funny how some kentucky good ol' boys can make a car that (now in 2011) can smoke almost any 300 grand supercar that is built by craftsman and world class engineers. Only one complaint about the review though. the 0-160 run was actually in kph on the speedo, not mph xD.

That corvette is actually quite fuel efficient, well over 20mpg, more like 25mpg, and even 30 in the cruise. Those are the 3.73 liter American gallons, not the 4.55 liter Imperial gallons they use in the UK. It doesn't even qualify for the USA Gas Guzzler tax.

You can get away with the ride quality of the corvette. Its made of plastic on the exterior bumpers to make the overall car cheaper. I would much rather have this then the Ferrari. Its cheaper faster and you can use it everyday.

But, it seems to be isolated to the ones that don't break in their engines and just suck the guts right out of the car the first week they have it. Jeremy obviously has something against the vette. He's driven it 3 or 4 different episodes and every time he knocks it but then giggles like a school girl when he's driving it.

It appears that a Norwegian Johan Vaaler did invent a version of the paper clip in 1899 that really never worked and was never put in production. It appears that he found out that an American had invented it in 1867 and another American refined it to the current design in 1877.
But that fact never stopped Norway in claiming they invented the paper clip. In fact they put it on one of their stamps and erected a monument in 1989 at the business school BI in Sandvika, Oslo.

Actually it was bone showroom stock car, had no racecrew, and came with the now available from the factory Pilot Sport Cup tires that are standard equipment on many cars, including the GT2 RS.
But I am sure you would love to believe otherwise.

The ZR1 is the one used on the Ring and it was run with racing interior, full rollcage and was about as "showroom stock" as their Cadillac which had a number of modifications done to it.
However... All thats insignificant when you consider the fact that the entire Ring as some kind of "international benchmark" is an all american myth. Or why dont you show me a list of other cars that have done factory sanctioned "benchmarking" at the god damn Ring.

The fact remains that the Vettes was showroom stock in every way including the motor, drivetrain, suspension, tires, and every other component other than safety equipment, cameras, and telemetry that actually added weight.
The reality is that a stock Vette without the safety equipment is actually able to lap the Ring FASTER, not slower.

That corvette is actually quite fuel efficient, well over 20mpg, more like 25mpg, and even 30 in the cruise. Those are the 3.73 liter American gallons, not the 4.55 liter Imperial gallons they use in the UK. It doesn't even qualify for the USA Gas Guzzler tax.

The difference in miles and gallons makes the american numbers look much better?
Ignorance seems to be abundant in Norway. FYI one American mile equals exactly one European mile. Hence one European mile equals exactly one American mile.
You have already demonstrated your defeciencies in math but just for your information a European gallon is 1.20095042 times larger than an American gallon. So fuel milage rated in miles per gallon or Km per gallon will always favor Europe.

Bocause its all about waving that flag for american cars. Not about facts. They put 2 pounds of cheap-ass tuneshop-grade carbonfiber on a ZR1. There is a thin layer on the aluminium roof and a spoiler. Stuff like that. In visible places so people can point at it and tell you its a carbonfiber car when it really isnt. In contrast, a Murcielago uses 84 kilos of the stuff and it contributes to real weight saving and structural strenght.

You can get away with the ride quality of the corvette. Its made of plastic on the exterior bumpers to make the overall car cheaper. I would much rather have this then the Ferrari. Its cheaper faster and you can use it everyday.

I don't really think they understand the corvette... Because unlike an aston, or ferrari, or what have you. Any average joe can go out and just pick up a vette for 60-70k in the states. Its a super car that gives people hope because you can smack around a porche with, and actually afford on a budget.

I used to like this show until I began watching all their reviews. Theyre fucking obsessed with Euro Trash Cars. Let me tell ya, my parents have been driving BMWs my entire life. Theyre cool, sure. I know GM is "cheaper," but I would not have traded my Transam WS6 for anything, and I can guarantee Vette owners feel the same way. Wow, all these claims of false Nurburing times, bad valvesprings, insufficient oil control... I wonder where these trolls get their info from, especially since the 'Ring time was an official time and highly documented, the dry sump has always been with the LS7 in the ZO6, and I've never heard of any valve spring issues. And even if there were, the ZO6 comes with a 5 year/100k mile warrantee.

But, it seems to be isolated to the ones that don't break in their engines and just suck the guts right out of the car the first week they have it. Jeremy obviously has something against the vette. He's driven it 3 or 4 different episodes and every time he knocks it but then giggles like a school girl when he's driving it.
