blazin hot if you listen to the 87 farm shows youll really hear how much hendrix influenced trey your right you dont hear this raw nasty guitar playin anymore but weve all aged and theyre sound and precision is unmatched today im still blown awayty for posting vid oh n the cid bak then was phenomenal,94 1st shows 97 nye msg last show till 2010 jones beach then 14 this summer...
I have listened to this set at least 100 times, and I will never stop being completely floored. When they segue into Twist, it is just unexplainable. Literally, I have no idea how that happened. I don't normally do the whole "best of talk," but that may be the best unplanned segue in the history of rock and roll. Oh yeah, it's also preceded by 30 minutes of my favorite music of all time.
@PhactorPhiction My first show scared the SHIT out of me......it was only the 2nd time they came to town and eating that strip of the early 90's shit made for a crazy divided sky. Then I had to go back to school the next morning (catholic) and had to see my religion teacher who had seen me standing on mars at the show. If I would have gone to the JGB show at pauly pavillion the week before I would have never caught the phish train when I did. 1997.....wooooooooo this is a different band!
the only person who disliked this probably is deaf and is just jealous

If you love jazz fusion/funk...this is MANDATORY LISTENING. This music is for the hardcore only....not for the weak-minded.
Halfway through the jam, I felt like Miles Davis circa 1975 was going walk onstage and join in.
If you love what happens during this second set, check out Miles Davis live in Japan CDs Agharta & Pangaea.
Completely sick, twisted and brilliant music at this show.

I was there in person as well. I didn't realize the epicness of the second set until years later. This jam is unreal.
