  • I thought it was AWSOME!!! But alil slow on the action.. BUT GREAT!

  • this is really awesome!

  • Amazing for 07, that's when I started learning to animate myself!

  • I once built a robot to move, and shoot my dads glock, but the recoil kept ripping his fingers apart, and duck tape only works so far, I had to spend a few more bucks reinforcing the arm it took out the jointing to reinforce the arm so now it can't swivel the whole thing must turn as one.

  • you must have had a lot of spare time xD

  • can you do an tutorial how to do this?

  • it was created various stages over a month, a robot done in a few hours, a few days later rigged him, another week, I cloned him so he'd have an opponent, then moved on to animate a random fight sequence. once done I though it needed a background as they were fighting on a plain white background, so I spent a morning creating the warehouse.

The software is expensive but luckily i did it in between projects at work, so i didn't pay for it. It definatly takes time to learn though

  • @delnoch13 Whats the software?. See i'm doing a movie here on youtube, so could you please tell me what software that is? and how expensive? thanks - Official202.

  • Over use of slow motion effects. Makes the robots seem sluggish.

  • that was sick. majorly awesome. more please!

  • delnoch13, that was amazing! Congratulations.

  • dude that is fucking epic!!

  • Oops :P I just saw the description... awesome work ...

  • dude I love the models and the environment is outstanding, but i really think you can ease down a bit on the slo mo... it would work great if there was more fast hitting and less slo mo... just a suggestion ^.^ are the models your own? If so what did you use to create them?

  • уматная видюшка!!!

  • I liked how you made the reflection.

  • Well it's good, but some sound effects missing

  • this allsome! 5 stars!

  • you forgot the explosion!. anyways what I really wanted to say was which is better (easier to use) in your opinion. Maya or 3d max?

  • lol its like two robo cops going at it lol!

  • alittle slow, but great

  • another nice job, keep it up :) I use different animated fight scenes like this to keep me going with my own lil project for fun . Thanks for posting this vid :)

  • the robots are moving a little lightly for how heavy you showed them in the entrance

  • is 3ds max better than blender???

  • dude that was awesome

  • Very, very cool vid.

  • this is freakin awesome i want to do this when i grow up

  • Realy nice))

  • You are the best man. Really good. I am pride to write a comment to a PRO like you.

  • Awesome job man, incridible moviments and very real, it's very difficult manipulate the 3D max, really good =3

  • Movements are kinda slow, but who am I to make a critic?!? AWESOME MOVIE (rated it 5/5 =)) slow or not, you make movements very fluid! It wasn't a great job... IT WAS SUPER DUPER HUPER (does that word exists) MEGA ULTRA AWESOME! XD xD nice job man!

  • It was very well animated in my opinion. Did you use an armature (skeletal structure) for the bodies? Also the textures were good too, did you get them from a particular site?

  • my fave was the green one

    seriously dude good job

  • the software he used was 3ds max and you learn it on your own

  • guys how do you make this i wanna download the program and make it

  • robots look fkn horrrible

  • How the hell did you learns this, from classes, or did you learn on your own? what softwares do you use? Enlighten me, i want to do work just like this D:

  • LOOK AROUND ON THE INTERNET AND YOU WILL FIND LOTS OF TUTORIALS. however it will be far easier to learn if you go to school.

  • 3DS Max 2009

  • is it mental ray or vray renderer or just scanline ????

  • not bad

  • Reminds me of the termintrix in terminator 3

  • YEa sure

  • Really nice work!

  • Great! Good Work!

  • how did you do that plz tell me!!!!!!!

  • wth

  • why dont you sign up for a movie studio

  • Great keep up the good work, question, did you

use and plug in for the spark effects or did you

do it all in Max, after effects mybe?

  • i was hpeing blue would win, green had purble armor.

  • dam that is awesome

  • Nice! 5/5 and added to my favorite's/

  • Totally amazing animation, but the reflections werent really as good. it was too reflective, especialy the black one :O

  • what program do you use

  • gr8

  • niiice!

  • Not a bad start, still needs a lot of polish on the animation, mostly in the beginning. Also some camera angles and shots are confusing or don't read as well at their current place.

Also, why are they fighting? Just cause they are different colors? Really needs some exposition, atleast a hint of it.

  • The flying down through the sky, modelling of the warhouse and last 10 seconds of the fight were done in 1 morning so those areas were a bit rushed. There was no reasoning behind anything in this avi, I modelled a robot thing cloned and changed colours, made them fight, they then needed a setting, hence the warehouse. No story existed as it was never meant to be. I made this whilst waiting for my video fruit machine specs (my job).

  • WTFOMG WOW nice job.

  • amazing i love the sequence and the robot design

  • its good, but its not fast enough, i didnt really feel that there was damage being done, shake the camera.

  • another great animation! Gotta say, love the quick cuts to the credits at the start... it really heightens the opening drama... nicely done!

  • wow, that was amazing. Great work.

  • nice dude freakin 0:50 was like hadukan(sorry if i spelled it wrong)lol

  • holy crap... NICE

  • Really nice, however, at 0:25 , when the green guy fires 'lazers', and they hit the wall, there is the same sound when med-kids explode in BattleField 2142 ;) Am i right ?

  • Yes, you are correct. BF2142 is mentioned in the credits at the start;)

  • muhaha, I knew it :D

  • Wow,

    thats realy nice Work.

How long it takes? (the work and the rendering)

  • that was pretty cool

  • Great moves, can't beat a good martial arts movie, nice work.

  • k i am making a little city but i have problem with rendering the particles from realflow to 3ds Max or Maya eventually.Any know how does it work. ?

  • thats just too many flips for me :/

  • The intro music is from Blood Diamond.

  • *the bad** -Hmm very silent sound effects if there was any -music was empty -some effects such as lazers were a little slow -some fighting combos were too slow * The good* -Good scenery -Suburb animation -Suburb texture editing such as bumpmaps and reflections -Excellent character designing -Spicy Effects such as sparks -Overall style was interesting and some fighting sequences were stimulated with a great variety of camera movements * overall* NICE JOB!!! maybe better sound next time though
  • SeriousIlya try to make something like that...I would like to see your work. If you can see some little mistakes in this greet work, I suppose you are a professional in 3ds max? are ya?

  • lol not really, but this is what comments are for. Am I right?

Comments help for people to improve, I know I am not as good. Although, I am not the weakest Artist out there. And I do understand these things morally, not completely physically.

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm hoping to one day become skilled in 3d animation and I've been looking for inspirations on youtube. It's pretty sweet to see that the actual creator of an animation is posting this on youtube. Good stuff.

  • knowledgegranted, sorry I actually press remove instead of reply to your comment.

I have a fair amount of experience in animation, I've worked in video graphics for around 10 years and am self taught. I'll try my best to help with any problems you have but to be honest, just do as many online tutorials as you can and you'll develop your skills pretty quickly.

  • This was a super sick animation! Great job!

  • this is your animatin?

  • Yes.

  • Like it

  • rocks!!!!!! u g2 make like video games or sumptin!!!1

  • he got some of trhose sounds from battlefield 2142 like when the blue robot flys to avoid the laser

  • thats why we have guns...just shoot him in the first place

  • Awesome job man! It has a cinematic and atmospheric feel as well. I'm working on a martial arts animation as well and it should be done in a month hopefully. Take it easy man!

  • awesome job, but some of the slow motion parts feel like the animation is just keyed too slow. Still great job

  • AWSOME!must have takin you along time to make this.

  • FATALITY

  • wow great job

  • Do you still have the blue robot 3D model?

  • That was awsome! lol.

    Favorited.

It looks like there is alot of slow-motion in there, or it's just that the robots move slow, hard to tell :P.

    but still awesome.

    5/5.

I hope you get ALOT of spare time.

Good Luck on your other movies, if you're gonna make some more.

  • that was awesome!XD

  • haha the ending rocks.

  • Dude that was awesome!

  • This is really awesome. How long did this take you to make? I'm using 3dsmax as well and I'm planning to do a fight scene as well, but hope my laptop can take rendering it all. I've got 2 gigs of RAM. e.e

  • Thanks for the positive comments, Hard to tell the exact time taken as I did in small sections between projects at work although when i got round to it took me 3 days to model the warehouse enviroment and finish the fight from where the purple one get knocked into the table.

  • It's like Tron vs. The Matrix!

  • Great video man, you should make more and put them here, keep the good work!

  • damn amazing this. a lot of action going on and the way the green bot slides back knocking over the table really adds to the atmosphere of it all. I wonder if you should take my Bots from my video (click my name to view it) and see if your team would beat mine. heh.
