you mustn't use biliniear filtering, since triliniear does minimal loss of speed. Although it doesn't make the quality much better, but it helps against the problems of biliniear filtering.

GMA = Intel = Not good for these if you want more framerate. Change to a different card, preferrably nVIDIA or ATI

@SlurpSilencer Older Gma's do suffer somewhat but a Gma extreame around the same age will do well, oh and if you go into the bios you should see settings for the video ram, it should say 64mb and 256mb, go with the 3rd option, that leaves the video open to use up to 512mb of ram for video, there should be a big boost there.

yeah, my cheat perhaps is because I don't have other things running on the background. I also disabled unnecessary services. and it's just carbon and other essential services running, so that I conserve the RAM.

here are pc specs by the way, xp professional service pack 2 , intel pentium dual core 2.00ghz processor,

2gb ddr2 ram,700w power supply, 80gb hard drive, ATI Radeon HD 2400PRO 256mb video card. i guess i should blaze through carbon on full resolutions pretty easy huh?

Hey can i run NFS Carbon on my PC my Specs are:

All except the video passed, but you need to replace your VGA. Like I said on the other comment, onboard video cards are pretty bad for these games.

i had an GMA intel 945 onboard in my old PC (which supossed to be better than 865) and i wasn't able to play that game due the lack of shaders in that integrated chip.

I try to run NFSU1 and the graphics are bad,the letters and cars are very bad,and very leggy

It seems that the fault is the SiS 730. Try a different VGA card.

This video is done in the same config above, except using a 64MB GeForce MX 440 and 512MB RAM.

no wonder. Try using anything above TNT2 and anything at least 64MB. If you use 32MB cards, you'll definitely get blocks.
