I never understood why they are bright blue and this video makes me wonder even more about their color.. Even a blind fish could see them swimming, why the heck are they colored that brightly?!

That's a good question. It would seem that bright colors would not be selected for but lots of animals do have bright colors. As a layman my guess would be it has something to do with reproduction.
