The only real shame about this, is the compression that YouTube does on our stuff: there is actually a groovy starfield behind the sun until it flares out - but ya can't see it on here... :-(
Would you believe that this was all done in After Effects with flat image files??? I WAS gonna take the logo into 3ds max and play with it there - but the short time I had to complete this coupled with the logo's intricate design meant I just did not have the time...!
Gotta love the 3D capabilities of AE - even if they are basic!! :-)
The one thing I didn't like was the strange looking Logo thing moving towards the camera... looked strange... the logo itself is awesome.. and the red planet thing is cool!
NOt my choice dude - the director wanted the logo to come flying out of the sun and "dropping off" the company name before spinning round round to reveal itself...the logo was supplied to me as a photoshop file with an alpha channel...
