  • Hey great video, i also have the 01 Durango with the 4.7l and man do i love it. Gets up and goes and can still go have some fun in the mud. How much did your 2" lift cost ya?

  • I was scurred for a sec, but good job man!!

  • durango super)

  • Jeep Wrangler + Mud = No problem.

  • clown driver

  • turn the wheel dum asS?

  • A Grand Cherokee would have glided through that. Not trying to hate... just saying.

  • @aaabball415 jeeps sucks they get fliped over easily :p

  • @miguelintheclub Okay man. Everyone has their own opinion and I do not want to argue with you but Jeeps will climb, mud, tread water, and out perform and durango in every way. Also, every car flips you just got to know how to drive it. I am not trying to say Durango's suck, no they are great cars just not as good as jeeps.

  • Very nice job, those things need more credit then people give them.

  • its a shame the durangos after the mk1 turned into hemi minivans

  • DODGE DURANGO = TANKKKKK

  • did you modify anything so you didn't suck up water? Everytime i take my durango in more than 15 inches of water it stalls out.

  • now thats how u treat a suv, u dont put gay spinners and shit on it, you run it through a damn mud hole. HELL YEA.

  • Gotta love it!

  • hahah! dats funny!

    echele el 4x4!

    hahahahaha!

  • nice job gettin out of that pit man....great work! sweet vid

  • makes me with my durango was a 4x4

  • @yamaha3240 ok. regardless when the pulses come they will push water out.

  • how would a stock 98 dodge durango do in this?

    v8 engine

  • yeehaw!

    I love these things!

  • i love these but hate the new models

  • The new models are just as good, if not better. The ride is unmatched by any other American truck on the market.

I have my 4.7L Superchipped and it hauls ass.

  • yeah but the new model cant tow the same and we tow horse trailers all the time i looked it up the slt haas 7000lbs and the new has 5000lbs i think

  • hey when you go through that, do you have to worry about the water getting into the truck, and getting up the exhaust. just askin

  • @zachdechuntin if it goes past the door line itll probably go inside . but as long as you have your engine running the exhaust should be pushing out any water trying to go into the tail pipe. dont turn your engine off if your in a situation like that or you could ruin your muffler and what not. you dont want mud in there :/

  • i paid 10,000 for 1 of these did i pay to much?

  • No Durangos go for ever Ive seen one with 360,000 miles still kickin ass. But thats nothing I own Rams with over 600K.

  • How many miles? And what condition?

  • @combustivechuck i got the 99 v8 5.9 for 1,700 hahah

  • i got an 02 sxt durango, squeezed a set of 31" cooper discoverer stt under it and thats it lol, durangos are no bs, idk y but they hate getting stuck and i wouldnt trade my durango for anything

  • nice vid, its good to see other people who use their durango for what its built for

  • BADASS DUDE! Sounds sick for a stock exhaust, and the steam makes a killer visual effect haha

  • hey, i've got a 1998 Dodge Durango and i live up here in Nebraska and there is a shit load of MMR's (Minimum Maintenance Roads) but my question was "Where is the smoke coming from? is it from the tires or the tranny?" cuz i'm just a pure born hick doing things my dad did when he was a kid too, oh you gotta love Nebraska

  • I think the "smoke" is actually steam from the water hitting hot exhaust components

  • Hey what kind of exhaust do you have on ? thanks

  • it's stock

  • Ok.....iam looking into the 50 series flowmaster or the 70series.....hard tomakea choice..lol

  • boo yah. thats awesome

  • @ballisticsbob yes it is from that

  • The smoke is steam coming from the water hitting the radiator and other parts

  • @Luis6228 uhhm. hot motor + water = steam dummy... Not smoke

  • according to this xBx1221x genius this is one of those new Chevy Durangos that I wasn't even aware they made.

  • i hope you have an extended breather tube for you diff. if not you might want to change the oil in both of them and extend the tubes and enjoy some more wheeling!

  • think the old shape durangos are better off road - my 06 model would not get through that

  • I Have an 04 with Hemi,AWD,and 4 wheel drive.I took off my running boards, and have gone through alot worse than this one in the vid.You need good tires, and need to get those running boards off to go through deep stuff.I honestly think my Durango is much better offroad than my 2001 jeep laredo

  • Nice save I thought for sure the chains were going to come out!

  • oh wait does t/s stand for Torsion/Spring?

  • What did you do for the 2 inches of lift?

  • dude get a chevy stop wasting ur time

  • why does he need to get a chevy? so he can waist more time having to pull it out with a DODGE??? :P

  • Right I've had Chevy trucks they tear up daily. I've bought Dodge trucks for 11 years now i will never own any other kind of truck

  • fuck that chevy is shit get a ford or go the fuck home

  • a chevy durango? must be new..... haha

  • @xBx1221x its dodge dumbass

  • Very Nice for the tire size. I love my Durango that 5.9's a monster!!!

  • i thought awd is givin the sam amount of power to all wheeles and 4wd is giving power to the wheeles that are not spinging. and do u have any aftermarket parts.

  • whts the diffrence with 4wd and awd?

  • with 4wd you have the option to put it in 2wd if you have awd its always sending power to all wheels

  • Ahhh I always hated the smell of Mudd Water Evaporating on the Engine of my Durango hahaha... but then it Brings back memories :D

  • lol i love mud on a hot exaust "sigh" memories....lol...take care man

  • Well that started out good.. It's a shame you don't know how to drive all the way through..

  • i must agree its not a hemi i have one to..2003 slt stock with awd and i could go through that like nothing

  • awd or 4wd? theres a diff

  • its not the engine thats the problem here, its traction. trust me i have a 99 with a 5.9L V8 and it has plenty of power. the trick was making sure i got the right tires for what im in.... and ive never even gotten stuck in shit like this and alil worse.

  • BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A any size that's all you need

  • The power of the HEMI, i have the same car, color and all

  • thats not a hemi...

  • Same here.

  • Your car look s like mine

  • its not the tread you have to worry about all you need is self cleaning tires bridgestone all-terrains is what i use and there self cleaning its all good after i got them with warn lock in lock outs

  • i had a durango.. i think they are the best off road suv on the go!

  • Your treads were filled up with mud and you couldn't get any traction, make sure that you get tires with bigger treads so they don't fill up so quickly.

  • ta bueno

  • nice to know i could do that with the wifes durango if i had to

  • Thats some real durango power for ya.

  • His driving was alright... just dont' have the right tires for mud.... i'm running a 3" lift with 32x11.5x15 on a 9"wide rim... It's been to hell and back... i ride it so hard, i have to change all my joints and steering every 6-8 months... i'll get some vids up here soon.... keep it up guys and remember to always Tread Lightly!

  • Man my 01 r/t I don't know if i would beat her up like that. Anyway Sweet vid yeah durango power.

  • powerfull suv :)

  • man thats a sweet video cus it reminds me of the exact like exact same thing that happend to me in my Durango R/T but i think ur SLT is higher then mine. keep posting

  • "can't drive at all" seems like a bit of an overstatment, as you can damn-well see that the vehicle IS moving (driving, being driven, etc) and if you'll watch the video a little closer you will NOT notice the vehicle having to be towed out.

  • ur just jelaus because u dont have the durango

  • @ballisticsbob you tell em! not everyone is a heavy goin off roader. I know where their comin from but you got out of it with moderate effort it looks like.

  • @ballisticsbob Hell yeah, you ain't stuck until you give up :-p.

  • @ballisticsbob I agree with that I have seen heavily modified vehicles get stuck easier than this stock durango did.

  • He did ok I thought, its mostly just about selective driving... what if he went up it sideways and slid back down? or maybe you just think every hill is the same and there is no mud on the sides?

  • @glamisduneracer when did they start making cars that drive side ways? haaaaa

  • I'm glad you finally got out and you were not stranded for the wolves and bears to get you.

  • 32" tires and a 2" lift, and you still keep the side steps on? LOL. I'm surprised it made it even half way through that little puddle. Still cool though cuz you attempt fun shit in it :)

  • yeah, left the running boards as it is the family grocery getter

  • Well that started out good.. It's a shame you don't know how to drive all the way through.. It's damn hard to get a Durango stuck.. And you have aftermarket shit!? Wow..

  • nothin like a good mudbath 2 relax ur truck...

  • your mom is going to have a fit when she sees what you do with her car!
