How cool. Director Tom Burrows was my Radio Television & Film instructor at Cal State University Northridge back in '83. He told his students in class that the doggone producers nickled and dimed him to death about camera shots. No matter. Good and fair man, a great storyteller, one helluva professor. Tom, you are missed.
A great song by one great group. Those of us to were blessed to grow up in the sixities had the greatest time experiencing this great music. What a wonderful time! I saw the Byrds when they came to my hometown with the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars in 1965, and they were just starting out getting established as a rock n roll band. We miss Gene Clark. How about a Byrds reunion by the still remaining ones while there's time?!
@sentimental1friend I grew up back then too. you just cant find words that convay the magic of those days to those not there. just when you thought it couldn't get better it did. rock'n roll brought western civilization a degree of harmony...exspecially from the beatles in 1964 till about 1968. it was a great time to be young. I wouldn't trade it for any before or after.
Thanks man for awesome song and rare TV presentation! It is really good!!Gene Clark WAS the father of the Byrds BUT it was McGuinn's 12 string "Rick" AND his 7 string (double G configured with one string an octave higher) that created the signature trademark sound of the Byrds AND it was also McGuinn who was the driving force behind their music and success.
I've been a YouTuber for over two years and I'm so amazed everyday by the Community uploads. If it was all Corporate ,I would just go to bed and listen to the radio. Of course, I will soon anyway but now visions of sugarplums will dance in my head. Thanks man.
Who was the host? Something like "Stink Weed?"

One of the best "break-up" tunes ever. I thought of this one as I left Brooklyn, NY, back in '67.
