There are alot of tricks in PM like... Giving all your money to and not getting it back. And you get repeatedly asked and have to push yes, take all my money, all the time. Finally though you get it back after the whole dialogue... But it really get u on edge. And it was no savepoint near either. ... But this thing... I dunno how long NiER takes but it would make me tremble in rage =P Since of Paper Mario i would not think it's serious when they say things like this!

Nier was the most heartfelt and gripping narative work of art, i have ever experienced. Just never had the time to earn Ending C or D. To understand the story, you must complete A and B, its told from a completely different perspective.

If you like this you need to play Drakengard. I think it has better gameplay, weapons etc. and although the story is not as solid and emotional as Nier, it is definitely crazier and just as enjoyable. It also features a multiple ending system which makes the game that much better. Cavia and Square Enix need to colaborate more often

I'm going to sound like such a fucking idiot for confessing this - but this game was powerful enough to actually make me romantically fall in love with Kainé for the time I played it. Enough so that I was entirely willing to charge straight at that ending and make that sacrifice for Kainé even knowing what would happen. No back ups. Typing this I remember the sheer heartache at the end of everything - but my point is: thank God they can still make such brilliant stories. I just miss Kainé now.

How will people ever know what you've done for them then? Though the whole "erase your existence" part assures nobody will know, but couldn't someone be happy with knowing what they did saved others' lives, even if the people they saved don't? I suppose it all comes down to how selfless the person who has to make the choice is though. Also, the flash was weird, though I like the emotional touch it gave.

I absolutely loved the game. The most prominent theme in this title was "Sacrifice". The very beginning of the game practically tells you right off the bat. The sound score is saddening, the plot is heartbreaking, and the characters you grow to like - meet their end in some way (depending on the ending). I loved this ending especially because as a gamer, deleting your save file is often the most difficult decision. ( :d having the option to back up your saves is win!)

Question! In Nier (Gestalt) they call it project gestalt in the end of the game when they explain about all that happened etc etc (you know if you played the game) - What do they say in Nier Replicant? Project Replicant? Is it just a different name or is there a different story of some sort?
I don't know if you read the Creator's Interviews but yeah... Hmmm Now that I thought about it, Maybe there is Hope for the world of NIER. We only explored only 1 part of the world, it is said that that the SEAFRONT has in trade with other continents. I just got this ending today (after 5 playthroughs)... One of the best games I've ever played! What an EXPERIENCE! Amazing story-line, memorable characters, full of emotions, beautiful art design, terrific music... I can't say enough. I put in around 46 hours, and it was such a blast. I CAN'T believe there isn't a Nier novel! Or even an anime, or comic book! That's just crazy! A game like this deserves more recognition. Do yourself a favour guys and pick this game up!
Ending E is in Grimoire Neir a book only released in Japan. There is a site that translates it all (3hrs of reading). It has tons and tons of extra story. Search it out is is worth the read.

@Errrrbo What you saw is not a new Nier game, it is simply the PS3 version of this game. PS3 version is called NieR RepliCant while the Xbox 360 version is called NieR Gestalt. The difference is the protagonist looks slightly different, with also an age and weight difference. Also, in NieR RepliCant Nier is fighting to save his sister, not his daughter.
@XSilentHills Nier Replicant was released simultaneously with this version. (Gesalt) If that was already out, the creator wouldn't be mentioning it as something coming soon.

I suppose it all comes down to how selfless the person who has to make the choice is though. Also, the flash was weird, though I like the emotional touch it gave.

It may be easy to do good and be noble when someone will notice it, recognize it, remember it, perhaps honor you for it. How easy is it to sacrifice when no one will know? When no one will recognize what you've done? Even more so, when you won't even be around to see the effects of your sacrifice? In vain? Or perhaps the other is being vain in and of itself... Who is more the hero? Which is true sacrifice?

I absolutely loved the game. The most prominent theme in this title was "Sacrifice". The very beginning of the game practically tells you right off the bat. The sound score is saddening, the plot is heartbreaking, and the characters you grow to like - meet their end in some way (depending on the ending). I loved this ending especially because as a gamer, deleting your save file is often the most difficult decision. ( :d having the option to back up your saves is win!)

Question! In Nier (Gestalt) they call it project gestalt in the end of the game when they explain about all that happened etc etc (you know if you played the game) - What do they say in Nier Replicant? Project Replicant? Is it just a different name or is there a different story of some sort?

It Gives a hell load of Backstory for NIER, plus its loaded with the Interviews explaining the endings
Gestalt's are Basically the Souls of the people and Replicants are the Bodies.
The point of Grimoire Weiss and Noir becoming one will bring all Conscious Gestalts back to their own bodies.
If you haven't figured it out, You (Replicant NIER) basically Doomed the whole Human Race once you killed the Shadow lord

I just got this ending today (after 5 playthroughs)... One of the best games I've ever played! What an EXPERIENCE! Amazing story-line, memorable characters, full of emotions, beautiful art design, terrific music... I can't say enough. I put in around 46 hours, and it was such a blast. I CAN'T believe there isn't a Nier novel! Or even an anime, or comic book! That's just crazy! A game like this deserves more recognition. Do yourself a favour guys and pick this game up!

Ending E is in Grimoire Neir a book only released in Japan. There is a site that translates it all (3hrs of reading). It has tons and tons of extra story. Search it out is is worth the read.

No sequel has actually been confirmed.
While it most likely that there will be a sequel all that Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito said is that a number of things related to Nier are in the works.
All I'm saying is to just make sure don't get your hopes up. ^^

@Errrrbo What you saw is not a new Nier game, it is simply the PS3 version of this game. PS3 version is called NieR RepliCant while the Xbox 360 version is called NieR Gestalt. The difference is the protagonist looks slightly different, with also an age and weight difference. Also, in NieR RepliCant Nier is fighting to save his sister, not his daughter.

Eishima: To me, ending C was father Nier’s choice, and ending D was brother Nier’s choice.

Eishima: A father is responsible to his own daughter, so he couldn’t just give up his existence. He feels that it’s his duty to protect Yonah and raise her, so he’d kill Kaine and live on. On the other hand, a brother and sister both coexist with and depend on each other, so maybe he’d choose to disappear and be relieved from his burden.
