  • My wife choose this as our wedding song, I do not regret it in the least. Sweet!

  • Stoelzel, not Bach ;-) Very nice voice, indeed !

  • our wedding song

  • @Mountchoirboy really? Do you know what the text is? It is about dying...

Ah, what a pleasant end for me,

if your dear hands be the last I see,

closing shut my faithful eyes to rest!

  • @Jordaan19 Well, somehow the ultimate love song...

  • @Jordaan19 It's not about dying. It's about love that lasts a lifetime - right to the moment of death. (That's why that person's hands are the last thing the singer sees.)

  • @ananse77 So it's very appropriate for a wedding song: "Until death do us part" the traditional wedding vow goes.

  • Most of you know that I love Marilyn and her wondrous voice. I've written to her five times and received the five back. maybe she hasa California address where she lives and teaches. If anyone has her address, please send it to me; remembering that she is fighting pancreatic cancer. I'd really appreciate your help. Marilyn is a one of a kind...we'll never hear this kind of voice again...I'd like to have her receive all my letters before she is singing with the angels. Anyone know?

  • Angel voice! Gloria Dei...!

  • Stunning! What an absolutely beautiful song! Wunderbar! I'm almost speechless.

  • My God, what an incredible voice!

  • This is a very good lesson for all the "baroque specialists" with small voices and fast tempi!

  • Schöne Fassung!

  • Perfect! My voice teacher assigned this song to me! Im so honored to sing such a beautiful and touching piece:)

  • Soothing.. This is originally by Stölzel though often attributed to Bach.

  • Superbe!

  • When I heard this the first time, years ago -I was so deeply touched. A few days ago, when my grandmother died, we find out that she want Horne with thois song at her funeral...Now I sit here, drink Gin & Tonic and think about Grannie..

Whereever you are now- I love you

  • What key is this in?

  • From the black and white Bach and Handel album...:-))

    Wonderfull singing!!!!!

Orchestration is with a bigger orchestra, but cembalo makes it okay.

    Such a GREAT singer!!!!
