expectations were too high and the American Dream meant that there would always be those "suckers" working in their businesses just to pay the landlord's rent...a very common statement today by business owners...now, it seems all are having to pay the price...thanks for the note!

Gilroy is not Silicon Valley

you are absolutely right...it's a bedroom commuter community and also has a lot of tech related businesses that are what could also be a part of a regional "Silicon Valley"...BTW, the commercial vacancy rate in Silicon Valley proper is approaching 25%, part of this also is effecting those Silicon Valley cities like Gilroy, Hollister, Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley...thanks for the note!
