I thought Katie's Rachel was more likable, though technically, Maggie should be the better actress...but she was rather underwhelming.

I keep wishing they'd cast someone like Cate Blanchett.

Katie is Rachel Dawes and just owned her chemistry with Bale. Katie is versatile than Maggie being in TV,movies and Broadway and her roles varies unlike Maggie playing a shank always.

She even made Rachel flirty in TDK. TDK is not Secretary.

I agree with those people who are saying that katie was a better rachel dawes, but I can't believe some people are calling maggie a bad actress! Did you not see her in "sherry baby" or "secretary"?!

Maggie is a better overall actress than katie, even though katie was better in this role as she had more chemistry with bale.

I disagree. Katie's acting was cringe-worthy. I can't watch Begins because every time she does her crooked mouth thing and shakes her head, I forgot I was watching Batman.

Weel i thought that she was wonderful as Rachel Dawes, she gave a really stunning performance. I mean Rachel is supposed to be a strong woman, with strong values and Holmes just looked like she was spitting her lines all over the movie.

And talking about chemistry, Maggie Gyllenhaal certainly had more with Bale and Echkart than Katie Holmes would ever dream of.

awful actress and so ugly. Her moles were so scary in IMAX. Not even a dose of chemistry with her and Bale or even Eckhart.

Many sure miss Holmes Sweet Holmes.
