Thats complete crap, Britain never went into Vietnam cause we were still involved in the Malayan Emergency plus lots of other operations worldwide. We went into Iraq for our own reasons. I support our decision to go in, Saddam gassed millions, slaughtered and terrorised the population. The last person to do that on such a scale was Hitler.

@panzercat39 There is no truth what so ever in what you said. The British government at the time supported the decision in removing Saddam. Whats the point in going in alone, there are a lot of political advantages of going in as a coalition such as a show of world support for the operation. There is no logic in going in alone when the US planned to invade. Saddam needed removed and we showed our support militarily unlike in Vietnam when we only supported politically.
