Cary was such a gorgeous creature back in the day! And I still think he is, in a strange way, despite his age & weight gain. He still has a certain sexiness to him ;)

I agree with Elwes here, although not the 3D part, I enjoyed this one the best. Nearly all the traps in this film were violent and brutal as can be imagined. The first saw in my view is the least tense out of the whole films, there was like only one trap, besides the flashbacks, so overall saw 3D is now no.1
I think they should start filming now and to make sure Amanda and John can keep their age right and then wait with the footage and in ten years time make three follow ups about Gordon training a new one.
Well, they're the ones that had the loose ends because they never said what happened to Dr. Gordon. They could have easily said he died and showed some dummy on the floor saying it's him but they kept it going and finally has him bad full force of awesome.
Cary Elwes should be ashamed for promoting this as the best Saw film. It is up and away by far the worst, more of an insult to the rest of the franchise. Simplifying it for newcomers, upping the gore for the sake of it rather than the gore being part of the story. After Saw 6 was so terrific, this left a real sour taste.
oo please dr gordon is a great actor don't get me wrong and so are all the other saw characters .... but this movie wasn't really good at all it took away that feeling of homemade traps witch took away the feeling of oo shit anyone can go and make this stuff .... the acting in a few scenes was cheezy and they focused way to much on SPOILER SPOILER hoofman trying to kill jill thats just my feelings on the movie

Saw the movie today. It was damn amazing. Hoffman & Gordon made the movie come alive. But some of the torture scenes seemed a bit "lazy". 10/10. I would've said 9/10 but im a big fan of SAW. Hoffman is the MAN.
I always wonder who those other two smaller pig masked people were. There ones that were with Gordon when they jumped Hoffman? Any ideas or opioions on who they might be ?

in your opinion. If you look past the gore it actually has a really interesting story but most people can't look past it and call it torture porn whenever it actually tries to show some story and tries to make you think.

Where was Gordon all this time since Saw ? He was supposdly reported as still missing in Saw 4, so where could he have been. Also, where could he have got all the hospital equipment from? Why didn't they mention about his daughter and wife ? If he has been helping jigsaw all this time, then why didn't he help keep Jigsaw stay alive in Saw 3, why did jigsaw need Lynn to do it?
Once again a bunch of loopholes in the story, if this is the very last SAW film, and all of the backstorys have been told, then who the fuck were the 2 other people in the pig mask helping Dr.Gordon at the end of the film? They droped the ball on this one. As alot of fans thought that they would. It sucked, it really did seem like it was rushed, and not thought of well at all.
this only answered the biggest question, not all of them. theres still many questions to be answered but instead they chose to do a cop out and do the most predictable thing by nameing gordon an accomlice. sure i wanted gordon to be an accomplice but they should hav added something else into it or go more in depth wit the whole jigsaw and gordon relationship insead of just throwing it at us in the last 1min. there was no need to introduce bobby especially since it had no connection wit anything
@D4rkiLLLLusi0n But I like how John/Hoffman took like a good year or so to get Bobby. I mean, John got his book signed, he was on the TV for a while him saying his first stories and all that. I mean, has to be a year since he first told his story.
Dr.Gordon would have ensured there was no way for Hoffman to escape this time, Gordons last task was to bring Hoffman down if he made any attempt to kill Jill, which he did. I also read somewhere that Gordons wife and daughter was later killed in a fire which was the doing of the victims of Saw 5, i may be wrong because it was a long time since i read that. The only question left is, who were the two other characters with Gordon at the end that kidnapped Hoffman, guess that we'll never know.
I'll just imagine that he returned to his family. I know it sounds kinda stupid, but i'd like to see him with his daughter again.
As for the helpers... play "Saw II: Flesh and Blood" and kill the dude in the Venus Fly trap. When you reach to the end, choose the right door "The Path of Flesh" (I think it's the right door).
Dr. Gordon has been an apprentice of Jigsaw since the end of the first saw film and everybody, except the two teenage boys from the start, Dr. Gordon and Bobby Dagen, dies
@bbblc dude there was no way that Donnie Walberg aka Dect. Matthews could of escaped that trap, the only way he could of survived is if Dect. Rigg didnt open the door, but he did so Dect. Matthews had no chance of escaping or anything like that.
@BigBrotherLOVER you must not remember. at the end of saw 2 when amanda locked him in the same bathroom that hoffman was left in at the end of saw 3d, in the same shackle and detective mathews used the top of the toilet seat to break his foot and slide his foot out of the shackle in the beginning of saw 3 he got out then they reabducted him for saw 4.
Only this time he doesn't have that 'top' anymore. He dies.
Besides, they mustn't continue. They'll ruin everything afterwads. Remember, Hoffman gone rogue, he broke the rules by Jigsaw and killed Tuck. Game over already. You really think Gordon wouldn't check the bathroom before he puts him in the shackle? Dude, now you're making it sound that Gordon is stupid.
@Trexmaster12 hoffman had gone "rogue" since he killed that man in the guillitine trap. you KNOW every saw movie has twists in it, if hoffman didnt pysically die, hes not dead! detective perez was presumed dead and she returned in a later film so why couldnt one of the main characters??
Hoffman broke the rules first. He broke his mentor's rules. The tape taht Gordon received said clearly: if Hoffman kills Jill, he must be locked in the bathroom. And... you know the rest of the story. I doubt Hoffman has something useful to cut his foot. Gordon made all the preparations. Hoffman dies of starvation and thirst. Besides, he doesn't have any knowlege of human anatomy. Either way if he escapes or doesn't, he will still die. End of the line. Hoffman is dead. John's work is over.
@Trexmaster12 unless the movie phisically shows me hoffman wasting away from "starvation and thirst" your comment is not valid. and because u "doubt" hoffman has some thing to cut or break his foot with only proves that it is possible for him to ascape. hoffman has been making traps for a while and knows how 2 escape plus he got out of the head trap by breaking his own hand and on top of that he sowed his own face back together!. this man has it in him to survive, don't assume that he's dead.
@bbblc your missing the point! Dtv. Matthews head was exploded by those ice chunks falling into his head! The only way Eric could of escaped is if Rigg DID NOT OPEN THE DOOR! but Rigg did and at that point there was no chance of survival for Eric! The only way he would of survived is if Rigg listened to the rules of the game and NOT OPEN THE DOOR, if he didnt open the door then, Matthews would of been saved, but since Rigg did open the door, Matthews had no chance of escape/survival.
I think the fact that the final trap of the series--the classic bathroom trap--was yet another inescapable trap (because Gordon threw the saw out), is a way of showing that Jigsaw failed in the end.

If you are going to argue that he didnt have an accent in the first, actors have to learn how to speak in other accents, Adam (Leigh Whannell) is Austalian, he has an Australian accent, and he doesnt have one in the first either. Only reason I know that actors have to learn accents is well, 1) its common sense and (2) I am in Drama and we have to learn accents.
Wtf,Iam beginning to think this whole thing was planned from Saw 1 by Dr.Gordon because look,John does believe in the chinese mythology in terms of intacapating the human mind but that doesnt mean his terms of rehabilating a person was the method he found alone.Doctors are usually the 1st ones to come up with theories of healing a person,and some of the traps like Mark had in Saw 2 and The lady with the harpoons in Saw 4 was SERGICAL.John was a mech/tech guy people..

Where was Gordon all this time since Saw ? He was supposdly reported as still missing in Saw 4, so where could he have been. Also, where could he have got all the hospital equipment from? Why didn't they mention about his daughter and wife ? If he has been helping jigsaw all this time, then why didn't he help keep Jigsaw stay alive in Saw 3, why did jigsaw need Lynn to do it?

Once again a bunch of loopholes in the story, if this is the very last SAW film, and all of the backstorys have been told, then who the fuck were the 2 other people in the pig mask helping Dr.Gordon at the end of the film? They droped the ball on this one. As alot of fans thought that they would. It sucked, it really did seem like it was rushed, and not thought of well at all.

this only answered the biggest question, not all of them. theres still many questions to be answered but instead they chose to do a cop out and do the most predictable thing by nameing gordon an accomlice. sure i wanted gordon to be an accomplice but they should hav added something else into it or go more in depth wit the whole jigsaw and gordon relationship insead of just throwing it at us in the last 1min. there was no need to introduce bobby especially since it had no connection wit anything

Dr.Gordon would have ensured there was no way for Hoffman to escape this time, Gordons last task was to bring Hoffman down if he made any attempt to kill Jill, which he did. I also read somewhere that Gordons wife and daughter was later killed in a fire which was the doing of the victims of Saw 5, i may be wrong because it was a long time since i read that. The only question left is, who were the two other characters with Gordon at the end that kidnapped Hoffman, guess that we'll never know.

I'll just imagine that he returned to his family. I know it sounds kinda stupid, but i'd like to see him with his daughter again.
As for the helpers... play "Saw II: Flesh and Blood" and kill the dude in the Venus Fly trap. When you reach to the end, choose the right door "The Path of Flesh" (I think it's the right door).
The other one... either Simone or Jenkins.

@bbblc dude there was no way that Donnie Walberg aka Dect. Matthews could of escaped that trap, the only way he could of survived is if Dect. Rigg didnt open the door, but he did so Dect. Matthews had no chance of escaping or anything like that.

@BigBrotherLOVER you must not remember. at the end of saw 2 when amanda locked him in the same bathroom that hoffman was left in at the end of saw 3d, in the same shackle and detective mathews used the top of the toilet seat to break his foot and slide his foot out of the shackle in the beginning of saw 3 he got out then they reabducted him for saw 4.

Hoffman broke the rules first. He broke his mentor's rules. The tape taht Gordon received said clearly: if Hoffman kills Jill, he must be locked in the bathroom. And... you know the rest of the story. I doubt Hoffman has something useful to cut his foot. Gordon made all the preparations. Hoffman dies of starvation and thirst. Besides, he doesn't have any knowlege of human anatomy. Either way if he escapes or doesn't, he will still die. End of the line. Hoffman is dead. John's work is over.

@Trexmaster12 unless the movie phisically shows me hoffman wasting away from "starvation and thirst" your comment is not valid. and because u "doubt" hoffman has some thing to cut or break his foot with only proves that it is possible for him to ascape. hoffman has been making traps for a while and knows how 2 escape plus he got out of the head trap by breaking his own hand and on top of that he sowed his own face back together!. this man has it in him to survive, don't assume that he's dead.

@bbblc your missing the point! Dtv. Matthews head was exploded by those ice chunks falling into his head! The only way Eric could of escaped is if Rigg DID NOT OPEN THE DOOR! but Rigg did and at that point there was no chance of survival for Eric! The only way he would of survived is if Rigg listened to the rules of the game and NOT OPEN THE DOOR, if he didnt open the door then, Matthews would of been saved, but since Rigg did open the door, Matthews had no chance of escape/survival.

I think the fact that the final trap of the series--the classic bathroom trap--was yet another inescapable trap (because Gordon threw the saw out), is a way of showing that Jigsaw failed in the end.

incredible !!!!! , The end of SAW was incredible, amazing, I knew I had traps that only the surgeon could do, but of the best movies with sequels the end of this was too exciting, Dr Gordon commands is the key to the game, end, was the key, what kind of final, now were answered because I never saw in other parts, I congratulate the director of this jewel.

If you are going to argue that he didnt have an accent in the first, actors have to learn how to speak in other accents, Adam (Leigh Whannell) is Austalian, he has an Australian accent, and he doesnt have one in the first either. Only reason I know that actors have to learn accents is well, 1) its common sense and (2) I am in Drama and we have to learn accents.

Wtf,Iam beginning to think this whole thing was planned from Saw 1 by Dr.Gordon because look,John does believe in the chinese mythology in terms of intacapating the human mind but that doesnt mean his terms of rehabilating a person was the method he found alone.Doctors are usually the 1st ones to come up with theories of healing a person,and some of the traps like Mark had in Saw 2 and The lady with the harpoons in Saw 4 was SERGICAL.John was a mech/tech guy people..
