This is a slight unmeritable man, meet to be sent on errands: And, though others lay labours on this man, to ease ourselves of divers slanderous loads, he shall but bear them as the ass bears gold, to groan and sweat under the business, either led or driven, as they point him the way; and having brought their treasure where they will, then take they down his load and turn him off, like to the empty ass, to shake his ears and graze in commons; being in the service of the Baron as Marx is.

@randomxnp - you nailed it on all counts! Still worth mentioning that Karl himself never held a real job, never mind any form of "labor", since he married a woman from one of the most powerful, hereditary titled and privileged families in Europe. What a befuddled, drooling old hypocrite. No wonder he's a hero to so many dole scum and other parasites.
"The more I spent, the more I'd end up owing" - that's because you were greedy, idiot. You spent more than the amount you earned, despite your admission that this was good pay. revolting sense of entitlement.
How do people do an economics degree and still come out believing Marx? How can they say "As long as I have to sell my labour to the boss I work for his profit and not for mine"? Two gross errors in one sentence - you don't have to work for the boss, and the sale of your labour is your profit in the transaction. You don't like it, transact elsewhere. You can't get better elsewhere, nor make more self-employed? What you offer is not worth more. Accept the lower amount or offer something else.
@randomxnp Wages are not profit. Profit comes from unpaid labor. By definition profit and wages are mutually exclusive. The money spent on wages cannot be profit. If I'm a capitalist and I hire you for 7 dollars an hour, then the money I spend paying you is the opposite of profit, it's money required for the production process, not the extra gained from it. Workers don't make profits, workers make wages by selling their labor power.
I really should talk about the other problem with this, besides the sophomoric whiny bullshit part. It's the music. It's dog-vomit. It's fucking LAME, people! Sounds like a song on Reading Rainbow. Sesame Street Marxism. How appropriate when you think about it, since there is no other kind. "The bomb" - what a stupid twat! What else do you listen to, Vanilla Ice? Their harmonies stink, the melody is pukeworthy, the playing and arrangement utterly dull, and the lyrics laughable. FAIL!!!
Shit music made worse by shit philosophy. Still, whenever I start to think Marx wasn't human but an alien robot, I remind myself he married the granddaughter of the Duke of Argyll. Never wanted for anything in his entire fatass unproductive life. Well done Karl!
The verse where the dude hands him state&revolution begins so good (if only spreading class awarness was that easy), then he gets on about "inner peace"! wtf?

@aljanabification Intelligent? In what way? In applauding a political system that killed between 50 and 200 million people in the 20th century? In being ignorant of the basic economics of value? In being ignorant of the ideas of a transaction beneficial to both parties? In complaining of having to work hard for material wealth far greater than that available to any but the tiniest minority under the alternative political system he praises? You need to look up the definition of intelligent.

Capital is dead labor, which, vampire-like, lives only by sucking living labor, and lives the more, the more labor it sucks.
